About Dr. Frank Bowden III

Board certified in Ophthalmology and a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Bowden is one of Florida’s most renowned physicians. He was the official eye care provider for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL and has been recognized as one of Jacksonville’s Top Doctors four times by Jacksonville Magazine, which also honored him as the Best Doctor of 2006 and 2007. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. Bowden earned his Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. He completed his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at Naval Hospital, San Diego, followed by a fellowship in Corneal and External Diseases at the internationally recognized Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2001, he founded Bowden Eye Associates, focusing the practice on comprehensive eye care; custom cataract surgery; refractive and LASIK surgery; glaucoma surgery and laser therapy; ocular surface disease reconstruction; corneal transplantation; and corneal and external diseases.

Dr. Bowden was wonderful he answered all my questions and told me about other options besides contacts. I am going to tell all my friends and family how wonderful the visit was!
Visit was great however they did not have my paperwork which was already completed online because the website did not make it clear that it had to be printed out by the patient and brought in or the patient would be filling out the same info.
