“Dr. Browne was very pleasant and patient. He was thorough, explained every thing clearly. And when I came to giving me the dreaded fearful shot in my knee, he was gentle, convincing this was the best treatment and very reassuring.”

About Dr. Gabriel Brown

Dr. Gabriel Brown was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He immigrated to the United States in 1989 and settled with his family in Mamaroneck, NY. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia University. As a resident, Dr. Brown assisted in the management of several sports teams including Columbia University, the City College of New York. Following orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. Brown completed an additional year of specialized training in the operative and non-operative management of sports medicine injuries. He completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, specializing in the treatment of professional, elite and recreational athletes. He participated in the care of professional athletes playing for USC Football, LA Lakers, LA Sparks, LA Dodgers, LA Kings, Anaheim Angels, and Anaheim Ducks. While at Kerlan-Jobe, Dr. Brown trained in state-of-the-art surgical procedures such as anatomic ACL reconstruction, all-inside meniscal repair, arthroscopic double-row rotator cuff repair, anatomic labral repair for shoulder dislocations, anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement, arthroscopic hip labral repair, and management of femoroacetabular impingement of the hip. Dr. Brown chose to pursue a clinical practice in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, permitting him to focus entirely on the care of his patients. He views the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership with the combined goal of returning patients to their desired level of activity. He reserves surgical intervention as a last resort for those patients who fail conservative management or in whom non-operative management is not an appropriate option. He considers patient education regarding their injuries a top priority.

Dr. Brown was fine and friendly enough. I didn't have a surgical condition, so I think I was generally not a high priority. There was an issue where an incorrect test was ordered at great inconvenience to me. No apology was offered, nor was there any attempt to rectify the situation. Dr. Brown seems like a capable physician. However, this practice and everything associated with it, decidedly less so.

Friendly nurse. Dr. Brown was clear and thorough.

Dr. Brown couldn't help me. I am in pain and I wanted answers but just got more questions. Probably not his fault but I cannot give a proper review because of it. He was nice enough

I have been a patient of Gabriel Brown for 8 years. I have found him to have the ability to explain what is obviously a complicated business in layman's terms. Truly one of the nicest people I have met. The rest of the staff are also extremely friendly.
Wonderful experience. I was listened to and given all the information I needed. Both Dr and his assistant were very pleasant. I felt very confident after leaving his office.
