About Dr. Gabrielle Hinton

Dr. Gabrielle Hinton was raised in the coastal town of Vero Beach, Florida. A top student with a strong aptitude for math and science, she graduated in the top 1% of her high school class. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Dr. Hinton discovered her passion for optometry during a summer job at an optometry clinic in Florida. What began as a simple task of organizing overstock frames turned into a six-year journey working at the clinic—an experience that ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in optometry. During her time at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Dr. Hinton had the opportunity to train at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, widely recognized as the top ophthalmology hospital in the world. It was there that she developed a special interest in scleral lenses, particularly for the treatment of dry eye and other ocular surface diseases. In 2023, Dr. Hinton graduated with Highest Honors from Nova Southeastern University. She then returned to the very clinic where her journey began, providing comprehensive eye care to the community that first sparked her passion. In May 2025, she relocated to Houston, Texas, to join her fiancé and begin a new chapter both personally and professionally. Dr. Hinton is thrilled to be part of the AEG team, where she offers compassionate, comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
