Dr. Sarafa then enrolled in the Family Medicine Residency Program at the renowned Oregon Health Sciences University. While there he provided emergency medical relief under the auspices of the United Nations with Medical Teams International in Skroder, Albania, for the Kosovar Refugees. In 1999 he became a Board Certified Family Physician, and completed his Academic Medicine Fellowship the following year at the University of Michigan, while training residents at Henry Ford Health Systems. Dr. Sarafa is kind, compassionate and enjoys spending time with his patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Dr. Sarafa enjoys reading and spending quality time with his wife and four children. He is grateful to have the opportunity to provide care for you or a loved one.

About Dr. Gary Sarafa

I don't know anything about the provider because I wasn't seen so I assume there's nothing negative about him. About a week before the appointment I was contacted to change the time and provider because someone left the practice. That was completely fine, and I was able to accommodate the change. I arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and was happy to wait that long to be seen. The staff was very kind, and I don't blame them for the wait. After an hour and 15 minutes, I still hadn't been called back. I had another appointment afterward, and the timing was getting tight. Several people were called before me, some of whom I believe were seeing the same provider, but I can't be sure. When I went to ask about my appointment and reschedule because of the long wait, I saw that the front desk and my provider were talking to another individual and giggling. I will not be returning and will cancel all future appointments. I'm sure the team is lovely but I can't have my time wasted.
