About Dr. George A. Zikos

Dr. George Zikos is an experienced, thorough, and caring provider, offering personalized eye care for the medical treatment of eye diseases and vision correction. He specializes in contact lens fittings for challenging eye conditions such as keratoconus, presbyopia, and dry eye, as well as the management of myopia progression in children.
Dr. Zikos earned his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and a Master's in Vision Science from the State University of New York. He completed his Bachelor's degree at the City University of New York. He has also served as an instructor at both SUNY and CUNY.
Actively engaged in research, Dr. Zikos conducts scientific and clinical studies in contact lenses, glasses, intraocular lenses (IOLs), myopia, presbyopia, eye movements, and other topics. He holds several patents, has lectured internationally, and published extensively.
A native Greek speaker, Dr. Zikos brings extensive professional experience from both Greece and the United States.

The office staff was friendly and helpful. They notify me before the appointment that I was out of network and asked if I still wanted to keep the appointment. Dr Zikos was professional, patient and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely go back.

Dr Zikos was really helpful, patient and cordial. I am not from the US but was visiting NYC for a short period of time and had some reservations about healthcare in the US but the doctor was gracious enough to even give me some discount on the tests, without even asking and was very thorough with the examination of my eyes. Everybody was super friendly - receptionists, the tech, and the doctor. The doctor explained my results in a very easy to understand way. I’ve had bad experiences with eye doctors who were rough and pushy with trying to upsell, but they didn’t do that here at all. Highly recommend!

Incredible service. They have super high tech scanning machines, including scanning the optic nerve, pics of your entire eye, and god knows what. Dr. Zikos is friendly, caring, and ready to answer any of your questions. The staff are courteous and professional Best I've ever been to.

Dr. Zikos is very thorough, patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. He takes his time with you and is open to any questions and concerns. I came out being able to see much better and with a clear game plan for my problem.
I highly recommend this office to my own friends/family and other. Both him and Dr.Patel are 10/10, and I am very selective with my healthcare team.
The experience from beignging to end is great because everyone is so friendly from the front desk, to the optical fitters, doctors, etc.
