About Dr. George Rizk

Dr. George Rizk is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist who grew up in Akron, Ohio before relocating to Texas. He majored in Biology with a minor in Spanish at the University of Houston. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Rizk’s externships include the treatment of ocular disease at the South Texas VA Hospital in San Antonio, as well as providing primary optometry care to the underserved communities at the Heights Clinic in Houston. As a therapeutic optometrist, Dr. Rizk practices primary care, including the pediatric and geriatric populations, is well versed in the latest management techniques of both anterior and posterior segment eye diseases. Dr. Rizk is also proficient in administering eye exams in Spanish. Outside of work, Dr. Rizk enjoys exploring the outdoors, golfing, basketball and maintaining an active lifestyle.

It was a very well handled visit and I am very happy that I was able to know that there could potentially be be an issue with my vision and that the Dr. would like me to come in for further testing. I was impressed start to finish. Check in. Nurse that did my intake. Doctor. Outtake. Got me with a specialist the next day. The most impressive performance I have seen by ANY service organization in many years. Not just medical service, I mean ANY service. This place is outstanding. I feel I have a potentially serious issue and they jumped all over. I just hope the specialist is nearly as good. I will be taking my wife here for her regular eye checkup. This place is phenomenal!!!
