About Dr. Gregory Borukhov
Dr. Borukhov is highly skilled in primary care optometry and ocular disease management, with an emphasis on various types of contact lens fittings (including astigmatic, multifocal and complicated fits).
Dr. Borukhov also evaluates, diagnoses and provides up-to-date treatment options for Myopia Control (including Atropine, Ortho K, and Multifocal Lenses), Dry Eye, LASIK/PRK, Cataracts, and Glaucoma.
Dr. Borukhov serves as the Director of Pediatric Eye Care, Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy Services in our Manhattan and Brooklyn offices. He received his doctorate degree from the prestigious SUNY State College of Optometry in New York, where he was honored with the COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Training.
Dr. Borukhov has extensive experience and expertise in the care of pediatric and adult patients with special emphasis on binocular vision problems, visual perceptual dysfunction, developmental vision issues and neuro – rehabilitation with traumatic brain injury patients. He has treated a large number of patients with Vision Therapy in order to address these issues. Dr. Borukhov works closely with other professionals such as occupational therapists, reading and education specialists, psychologists, physical therapists and medical physicians in order to provide an integrated diagnostic and therapeutic approach.

Felt a bit rushed with the doctor and was dismissive of my reported symptoms, which didn’t sit well. Would not come back to this office. My other eye doctor at a different office was not available so had no choice.

With regards to the expenses, I find this place a bit too expensive if you want to get glasses, etc.

Reception was prompt and prescreening with the nurse was quick. Dr. Borukhov saw me directly after and listened closely as I described the issues of concern. Afterwards, he was very thorough in explaining his diagnosis based on both on my anecdotal explanation and the scans taken of my eyes. I also appreciate how he recommended a further dilation of the pupils to be certain the prescription considered was correct and not in need of further calibration. I did not feel hurried or pressured to execute the prescription in their shop, although they do provide glasses in house. Overall, a positive experience.

I was promptly seen after filling out new patient forms and the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and upfront about coverage. Dr. B was very approachable and explained what he was checking for and testing. It made the whole experience quick and efficient.

I have a very complex contact lens fitting (severe near-sightedness, age related macular degeneration, astigmatism), and 3 prior doctors were unable to properly fit me for contact lenses that were suitable for reading and driving. Dr. Burukhov spent almost an hour with me going through my history, prior issues, objectives, and spent a lot of time fine tuning / testing until we got exactly the right lens to maximize my ability for reading and distance. A wonderful caring doctor who asks all the right questions and works really hard to get the best results for the patient.

Dr. Borukhov was so great. The best eye doctor I've ever been to. He obviously loves his work and was so detailed and thorough in explaining things. He diagnosed an issue that I'd been struggling with for a while. I even went to my primary care physician about it and she couldn't find anything wrong. Dr. Borukhov figured it out as soon as I told him my symptoms. I'll have no trouble keeping up with annual eye examines!

When I first got there they said I was not on the appointment list even though I had booked through Zoc Doc and I had received a reminder. But they did slot me in right away.

Dr. B was very thorough and knowledgable. He assured me that the problems I was having with my eyes were nothing extreme and would go away with proper treatment, which they did. His bedside manner was also excellent; I felt very comfortable and at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. B. It's safe to say I have found myself a new eye doctor!
