Excellent team of eye care professionals. Firstly, the optometric technician, Menia, was the most accurate and sophisticated technician I had ever been seen by. Secondly, Dr. Isakova provided an excellent eye exam and explained everything very clearly and made an outstanding suggestion regarding the use of warm compresses on my eyes. Lastly, Dr. Pamel saw me to verify that all was well and that my baby cataracts were not something to worry about at this time. Cathy at the front desk was friendly and very efficient. All and all a perfect visit to a eye care practice I would recommend to anyone like me who comes from a family of eye doctors and understands the value they provide to a person's quality of life. Dr. Pamel was great - answered all my questions, was very thorough, was great at explaining all the steps of the exam. But the wait time was over an hour and a half to see Dr. Pamel and the staff that was helping me beforehand wasn't very professional, she expressed her agitation when I asked when I will be seeing him.

Their offices had very a very well established protocol to ensure everyone’s safety due to COVID-19 preventive measures. They took my temperature upon arrival, sent me ahead of time any forms needed, and ensured social distancing while in their office. They have high tech available and their staff is kind and friendly. I saw a Dr. whose name I can’t remember but she had great hair, she was awesome! Very knowledgeable, patient, explained things in a way I could understand and she had great bedside manner. At the end I saw Dr. Patel and he was also very knowledgeable and kind. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel’s office.

Overall it was a very bad experience. I require specialty contact lenses covered by health insurance, and they did not want to submit the paperwork to do so. I ended up going with Colombia Doctors eye department, and they worked with my insurance to make sure I got the necessary lenses covered. Definitely don't recommend.

Let me preface this by saying this was my third (and happily last) try at finding someone to do cataract surgery. (My advice to all is to avoid New York Eye and Ear!) So on to Dr. Pamel, a true gem. I left the office smiling. He explains everything clearly and was a pleasure to talk make. Makes me almost wish I had a spare set of eye that he could treat. The staff is extremely pleasant and a special "shout-out" to the surgical. She was patient, explained the procedure protocol fully and encouraged questions. This was a terrific experience from one who has walked this road twice before.
