About Dr. Gurjinder Kaur
Dr. Gurjinder Kaur is a New York and New Jersey board certified, residency-trained, licensed optometrist. Dr. Kaur serves as the head optometrist and CEO of Eyes On Ramsey. She has extensive training in ocular conditions such as conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and a special interest in dry eye treatment.
Originally from Central New Jersey, Dr. Kaur received her dual Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Rutgers University. She went on to pursue her childhood dream of optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she earned her Doctorate. After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Kaur further enhanced her training by opting in a residency program specializing in Primary Eyecare and Ocular Disease in New York City. Living in New York City for many years piqued her interest in fashion-forward eyewear. After moving back to New Jersey in 2020, Dr. Kaur wanted to merge her love of eyecare and fashion and bring it to Bergen County, NJ. This is what motivated her to open Eyes On Ramsey. EOR is a culmination of her devotion to eye care and fashion to bring you an elevated one-stop-shop patient experience.

From when I arrived, I was warmly invited. Process was quick and informative. The optometrist was excellent, empathetic and meticulous, which is amazing! Everyone helped me with all of my questions. I got glasses and contacts and will be coming back to this location yearly!

Had a great experience at Eyes on Ramsey. The office is super modern, aesthetically pleasing, and even smells nice—which is something you don’t always think about, but definitely adds to the experience. The front desk staff was friendly and got me checked in right away. I was called in within minutes, which I really appreciated.
Their equipment is top-notch—not just new, but actually modern. The phoropter was wireless, which was pretty cool. Dr. Kaur was awesome. She made me feel comfortable and actually explained what she was doing during the exam instead of just saying “everything looks good” like some other doctors do. She checked for a bunch of things and really took the time to break it all down for me.
Overall, super smooth experience, and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid eye doctor.

Everyone in the office is kind and everything moves quickly without feeling rushed. Dr. Kaur explains everything she's doing very clearly so you never feel like anyone's just doing random stuff with your eyes. All the equipment seems higher tech than what I've experienced with other optometrists. Great experience, will be returning.

Dr. Gurjinder Kaur was very patient with the process of finding the contact lenses that fit for my eyes. She gave me a variety of options to try on, left the room so I could see how each contacts felt for at least 5 minute. I didn’t feel rushed and when we finally found one that felt the most comfortable on me, she made sure I got a trial pair to try for at least 2 weeks before purchasing anything. She was genuinely caring and listened and wanted to solve my issues.
