She began her higher education at Bucknell University, became a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in History. She attended Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated in 1999. She then went on to an Internship at Yale University where she spent a month working at the Zuni Reservation Health Service in New Mexico. Her Ophthalmology residency was completed at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. With this introduction to intraocular surgery came Dr. Dealy’s passion for cataract and glaucoma surgery. In 2003, she moved to Philadelphia and began her fellowship in glaucoma at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Here she was able to hone her skills in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, with particular attention to the surgical management of advanced disease. She began her career in private practice in 2004 in the Wilmington, Delaware community and has been ranked among the Top Physicians in New Castle County in the Delaware Today magazine’s Top Doc feature several times. In January of 2020, Dr. Dealy joined a team of eye doctors and an organization called Promise in Sight to provide humanitarian eye care to underserved communities in Central America. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Medical Society of Delaware, and the Delaware Academy of Ophthalmology. When she is not in the office, Dr. Dealy enjoys playing racquet sports, traveling with her family, gardening and reading anything she can get her hands on.
