About Dr. Hedy Leibowitz

Dr. Hedy Leibowitz, OD, has been practicing optometry for 25 years. Dr. Leibowitz graduated from Binghamton University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree and then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in 1996. Dr. Leibowitz is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. Dr. Leibowitz decided to pursue optometry based on her own childhood experiences; Her optometrist impressed up on her his enthusiasm for the profession and his desire to help others. Outside of the office, Dr. Leibowitz enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters. In the fall she is busy cheering on her kids in the marching band. She and her family now reside in Monmouth County, NJ.

Most relevant

I’ve booked more than 10 appointments through Zocdoc and have never experienced anything like this. The appointments are always in the system. I booked this appointment four days in advance and received a confirmation from Zocdoc, so I drove 45 minutes to the office expecting to be seen. When I arrived, the front desk told me they didn’t have my appointment in their system and could not see me. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the staff seemed unfamiliar with how Zocdoc bookings work and were unable to figure out what had happened with my confirmed appointment. I understand that technical or scheduling issues can happen, but patients should not have to discover them after driving 45 minutes to an appointment that was confirmed through Zocdoc. The office should have a reliable process for handling appointments made through a platform they choose to use. Maybe being more up to date will be nice !!!
