Dr. Kurtz is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center and has been in private practice since 1999. He is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Kurtz received his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from New York University and was inducted into the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Kurtz received his medical degree from New York Medical College where he was inducted into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Kurtz completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYU Medical Hospital Downtown.

Very professional office and staff. Dr. Kurtz is friendly and discusses all the options with you in an open and non-pushy manner. It was my first visit there, so he took the time to sit with me in his office before the exam to talk about history, regularities, concerns, or answer any questions I may have had.

Doctor visit was fine. After the appointment I went to check out and was asked to wait for a minute. I sat down and waited. Clearly they forgot about me and the desk ladies were chatting and chatting until I finally asked if I could check out and they acted as if I had not been waiting for over 10 minutes! No apology. A bit unprofessional. No one else was being helped.

I was highly impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the office staff. I was also impressed with the doctor. I wish the follow up (of the office staff) would have been more timely, but once I called and told them how disappointed I was, the response was excellence. My only problem going forward with using this office to replace my long-time physician who no longer takes my insurance, is that they seem to have one phone number for all their offices and the telephone response is far from satisfactory. Example? I had visited the Midwood/Brooklyn office, and my phone call was answered in the Park Avenue office. They would not connect me, said they'd have the person I asked for call me right back, but that didn't happen. I had to try several more times, at different times and the next day, until I finally spoke to the person I needed.
