Hugh Steer is a mindful and dedicated optometrist serving the community of Arlington, VA. He is from neighboring Maryland. Dr. Steer attended Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. He also earned his Bachelor's degree in Visual Sciences at Salus University and his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Howard University.

I could not locate them and called several time to get directions not only did they not answer my calls but I never heard from them again. Not to reschedule or to find out why I didn’t show up. Red Flag!

Fantastic experience!! He took extra time to make sure my prescription was perfect! I really felt taken care of and I left with a trial pair of contacts that feel better than any I’ve had prior, and I’m seeing better than I have in a long time. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

Dr. Steer is a wonderful optician. I was seen super quickly and he took the time to answer any questions I had. The office itself was a little hard to find, but that’s only because it’s easily confused with LensCrafters (which it’s right next to). What really stuck out to me was what an extensive contact selection they had. He had trial contacts for my prescription in stock, something no optician I’ve seen has ever carried because of the high amount of astigmatism I have. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Steer and his staff made my 7 year old feel very comfortable. He is anti-white coat everyone! He received a wonderful and thorough eye exam and was able to get his first pair of glasses from the Lens Crafters next door within hours. I will be bringing my daughter here as well for her eye care. I highly recommend this office.

Made a same-day appointment to see Dr.Steer, and I’m so glad I did. I was seen almost as soon as I arrived. Everyone was friendly and professional. It’s been a while since I had an exam but their technology seemed state-of-the-art to me! Doc obviously knew his craft well. Will come again.

Already recommended another person to go who is booking an appointment shortly with them! They are great, no wait time, so attentive and accommodating. The doctor took time to explain everything I needed to know and was so helpful and understanding. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wang was amazing! Very attentive, took the time to explain the retina pictures and talk through any issues I was having. The optomap was an interesting experience, and its great that they offer it, I didn't need to have my eyes dilated to have a proper exam! The office is clean and neat, located inside the new mall.

I scheduled through Zocdoc to meet with Dr. Steer, but at the appointment was switched to another provider. I'm not a fan of this tactic, but luckily the other provider was amazing. I'm not sure if Dr. Steer actually practices out of this facility or just owns the practice.

Simply amazing. Dr. Steer and his staff were beyond courteous and knowledgeable. They got me in and had me out in less than 30 minutes, all while making sure I felt comfortable and attended too. I never felt rushed nor pressured and they were professional while welcoming. If you are looking for an optometrist, this is where you want to be!
