Richard Hunter Bond, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1996. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Southeastern Louisiana University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1989. He also completed certification in heart function and electrocardiograms at the Medical Center of Baton Rouge in 1990. While in optometry school, Dr. Bond completed clinical training at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, where he gained valuable experience in primary and emergency eye care. He is skilled in managing and co-managing a wide range of eye conditions, with a special focus on glaucoma, retinal disease, neurological conditions, laser procedures, and specialty contact lenses. A Denham Springs native, Dr. Bond takes pride in building a family-oriented practice centered on integrity, leadership, and a commitment to his patients' overall health
