About Dr. Iyana Whyte
Iyana Whyte, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She is highly dedicated to providing a full spectrum of women's healthcare by treating women of all ages, from pre-teen to post-menopause, and offering routine examinations, treatment of gynecologic conditions, contraceptive counseling, onsite ultrasounds, and pregnancy care. Dr. Whyte has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing high-risk antepartum and intrapartum health issues. She holds an affiliation with NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital, where she performs deliveries. Dr. Whyte has published research assessing the efficacy of peak MCA velocities and amniocentesis before cardiocentesis in diagnosing fetal anemia. Currently, she is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association.

This office never contacted me about this appointment unless via text to ask me about changing the appointment date and times for another date. I decided to keep my schedule date because at the time it worked perfectly for me. Unknowingly, my mom this morning would’ve had to go to the ER because of an emergency and my child after school ended and I would have to pick her up on my way to my appointment. As a result, I was about 15 minutes late, I called them was running late. I was told that I would have to reschedule after I was literally getting off the train and walking over to the office. When I got to the office, there was a commotion with another patient who arrived and they assumed she was me! without checking her name and stupidly told her that she couldn’t be seen! Front office matters, the attitude matters, especially for a GYN office. I will need someone to be a lot friendlier than this. I shall never return, never reschedule and never refer.

Doctor Whyte is incredible. She's very knowledgable and she is a great listener, I felt as my concerns were truly heard and addressed properly. The entire team is professional and i did not have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen.

I had such a great experience at this office! From the front desk staff to the nurses and the doctor, everyone was so kind and welcoming. I was taken in right away and never felt rushed. I’m usually really nervous and uncomfortable for these kinds of appointments, but they made me feel completely at ease. The doctor was gentle, thorough, and easy to talk to. I honestly left feeling relieved and grateful, highly recommend this office!
