Having worked with college students for 35 years, she has become adept at addressing test anxiety, motivation, study skills, procrastination, and organization. She helps clients identify areas of strength, shows interest in different cultures, and offers compassion and curiosity when working with diverse populations. Dr. Elbel has worked with clients from six continents and most faith traditions. Her goal is for clients to love and accept themselves as they are so they can facilitate the change they want to see. Outside of work, Dr. Elbel loves to read. A recent immigrant to New York from Texas, she is fixing up a 90-year-old house. She enjoys history-especially learning what life was like for ordinary people at different points in time-and learning about different traditions and faiths. Now that she is in New York, she looks forward to learning to knit and crochet.
