About Dr. James Flores
Dr. James Flores provides full-scope primary eye care, including comprehensive vision exams and ongoing management of eye health. His clinical focus includes diagnosing and treating ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, or dry eye syndrome. He also manages conditions like keratoconus, corneal disorders, and ocular surface disease. In addition, Dr. Flores offers thorough pre- and post-surgical care for procedures including cataract surgery, LASIK, and other refractive or therapeutic eye surgeries. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he is dedicated to serving a diverse patient community in Tucson. Education and Medical Training After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona—majoring in chemistry and minoring in psychology—Dr. Flores received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr Flores does a great job. My prescription is always accurate and if there is a problem with my eyes he always gets me in quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dr Flores is exceptionally thorough during my eye exams. He is proactive in noticing that a couple of my eyelashes were growing inward and irritating my eyeball. He carefully and meticulously plucked them out. His priority is to make the patient feel comfortable and at ease by his pleasant demeanor.
