About Dr. Jamie Keele

Dr. Jamie Keele graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016. Dr. Keele was first introduced to optometry at age 12 when she discovered she needed glasses due to nearsightedness. Growing up, she always had an interest in biology and medical sciences. However, it wasn’t until college, when she shadowed her optometrist, that she realized she wanted to pursue a career in optometry. She saw how rewarding the profession was and immediately fell in love with it. She enjoys helping people see better and preserve their vision. She especially loves working with kids, giving them a chance to perform their best in school and life through improved vision.
