About Dr. Jason Flamendorf
Dr. Jason Flamendorf is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Flamendorf has expertise in providing cataract surgery, including complex and refractive cataract surgery. He also specializes in medical and surgical glaucoma management, including micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), trabeculectomies, and tube shunts. He is a Clinical Instructor on the Wills Eye Hospital Glaucoma Service where he teaches resident physicians and surgeons.
Dr. Flamendorf earned his medical degree with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York followed by his ophthalmology residency and glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a prestigious one-year research fellowship in the NIH’s Medical Research Scholars Program.
Professionally, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals and The Wills Eye Manual, and he has presented at multiple national conferences.

They dilated my eyes but never gave me sunglasses or told me I would need assistance I went out on my bike and Allmost got killed I was blind for 4 hours

Showed up to the appointment having already filled out the forms, submitted my insurance information, sent photos of my insurance card only for them to tell me "we wish we knew sooner but we dont take this insurance and you can't self pay". I knew they didnt take my insurance but not being able to self pay is wrong. This was purely greed as they were not able to charge what they wanted and thought they could just send me on my way to another hospital. I told them I drove there with blurry double vision and they did not care.

Extremely long wait. I wasn’t triaged until 45 minutes after my appointment time. I had to keep going back to the waiting room to wait for the doctor. I was there for 2 hrs for a simple eye exam.
The Dr. seemed flustered and rushed. Maybe it was just a bad day in the office.

The entire experience was very positive. The technician I met with before seeing the doctor was very kind and considerate and seemed very competent. I asked in casual conversation how long they had worked there (only my second time in this office) and was shocked when they responded 'three weeks.' needless to say I told the doctor how impressed I was. Unfortunately I do not remember the employees name.

This was my first vision appointment. Everyone was friendly but there is a lot of waiting involved. They sent me back to the waiting room 3 times. Just beware. This is normal though so don’t worry! Doctor is great!!!

Excellent doctor. Compassionate care. Easy to get an appointment on short notice for my eye emergency and I feel I was well-cared for. I would highly recommend this doctor to others.

Took forever to be seen then you wait longer for the doctor. They are severely understaffed. Seemingly one doctor with like 8 appointments at a time.
They got my prescription wrong on top of that leading me to having to pay for multiple extra Ubers there for a second appointment. They also made me wait forever again even though I was on time because they are overbooked and have one doctor every day it seems.
So yeah out a bunch of money from getting there and out the time from the hassle of returning and reordering glasses.
Bad office. Won’t be back.
