About Dr. Jeffrey Sutro
We are pleased to welcome you to our office. If you're looking for quality eye care with a personal touch, we hope you'll contact us. We know you have a choice of optometrists in the area, and we appreciate your consideration. Dr. Sutro has many years of experience serving this community, and we hope you'll feel confident in our ability to meet your expectations.
Established in 1994, we provide full eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams, Optomap retinal exams for early disease detection, all types of eyeglasses—including lineless bifocals—contact lenses, and a wide selection of fashionable eyewear.
We pledge to devote the time and attention needed to give you a complete and thorough eye exam in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Dr. Sutro graduated from San Francisco State University (Bachelor's) and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Before optometry school, he worked as a researcher at the University of California, Irvine. After graduating in 1990, he practiced in Spokane, including a mobile eye care program providing vision care in nursing homes and prisons. In 1994, he purchased his current practice from Dr. Russell Bradley. Dr. Sutro is certified by the American Board of Optometry.
He is married to Janet Sutro. Their daughter, Bethany, is a Whitman College graduate, holds a Doctor of Psychology from Pacific University, and works as a school psychologist.
Dr. Sutro is a member of Woodinville Community Church, Toastmasters, the Kairos Prison Ministry, and the Snohomish County Optometric Society. He served as president of the King County Optometric Society and on the Board of Trustees of the Optometric Physicians of Washington. From 2001 to 2007, he served on the Washington State Board of Optometry, including one year as chair.
