About Dr. Jennifer Barondes

She provides complete eye care services for Cibolo and the surrounding communities. Dr. Barondes is a native of south Texas being born in Austin and attending high school in San Antonio. After completing her degree in Biomedical Science in 2004 from Texas A&M University, she went on to study at NOVA Southeastern College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Once she earned her Doctorate in 2008, Dr. Barondes moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire where she practiced for 3 years in a private practice. It was here that she learned the value of patient care and what it means to provide consummate support to the community. As fate seems to draw us back to where we grew up, Dr. Barondes moved to Texas in 2011 accepting a position working alongside Dr. Tomy Starck at UltraVision Lasik of San Antonio. Practicing at UltraVision enabled Dr. Barondes to expand her knowledge on the surgical side of ophthalmology while focusing on exceptional pre and post surgical patient care. With her background, Dr. Barondes is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension. She provides exams, diagnoses and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to education in eye diseases and disorder, Dr. Barondes is trained in biochemistry, physiology and anatomy. She works hard to stay at the cutting-edge of the latest advances in eye health. She regularly attends continuing education seminars, traveling the US attending the most proficient lectures to expand her eye care expertise. She lives in San Antonio with her husband Brandon and daughter Emerson Rose. In her spare time she enjoys outings with her family, traveling, and exercising.
