About Dr. Jessica Rimm
Dr. Jessica Rimm is a National Board Certified and New York State Licensed Optometrist driven to provide exceptional and compassionate care to her patients in NYC. She provides comprehensive eye examinations, offers refractive and contact lens fitting services and manages various ocular diseases, including, but not limited to, dry eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal conditions.
Born and raised in New England, Dr. Jessica Rimm graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Biology. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she started a research career in biochemistry and genetics working in biotech industry in Cambridge, MA. At this time, she also volunteered to provide prescription eyeglasses to underserved communities in Guatemala, which inspired her to eventually pursue a career in optometry and be able to provide those in her community with the best eye care possible.
Dr. Rimm earned her Optometry Degree along with a micro-credential in Cornea and Contact Lens from the SUNY College of Optometry. During graduate school, she trained at the West Haven VA Hospital, University Eye Center Cornea & Contact Lens Clinic, City Eye MD, and NYC Retina.
In her free time, Dr. Rimm enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Be careful - actual optometrist is often not on-site. There was no actual MD at my appointment. There were a series of people that were connected via Zoom throughout the appointment. The audio quality was poor / you couldn't always understand what they were saying when they connected in. If you had any issues / concerns, you'd have to reconnect to a new Zoom person. I never once saw (either in person or on Zoom) the provider I actually booked the appointment with and have no idea who I did actually see because of the poor audio quality.

Dr. Rimm was wonderful. She took me through my exam and walked me through each of the results of the diagnostic tests that her assistant ran before sitting down with Dr. Rimm. She explained everything and was able to provide me with a new lens prescription quickly.

I keep coming back to this office because it is always such a positive experience. I never feel rushed, and Dr. Rimm is always willing to take the time to answer my questions and address my concerns. She is thorough, and she always completes every test possible when at other offices I have felt rushed into a higher prescription after barely any testing. The office is clean and everyone is friendly. Bonus is there is always also free chocolates! I will certainly be going back there for my next appointment.

In all of my years with an eye doctor, this doctor was reminiscent of my experiences with my primary care physicians; any questions answered, thoroughly explained, and thorough. Even though I appreciate my previous doctors, this was something I greatly appreciated and I will be coming back again.
Additionally, snacks, drinks, and water being supplied while waiting is always a way to my heart and comfort.

After being told that I had to wait months before my own eye doctor could see me (I was concerned about the redness in my eye), I decided to see Dr Rimm to get a new eye prescription but also for her to check the health of my eyes. To my pleasure I was able to make an appointment immediately. Dr Rimm was very kind and extremely thorough. She assured me my eyes were healthy (to my relief) and she took the time to listen to my concerns. She spent time giving me a new prescription and also wrote down a specialist that could help me. I highly recommend Dr Rimm!!

Everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. I’m very pleased with my experience. Dr.Rimm was very informative and actually explained all these medical terms in a way where I was able to understand what everything meant. Will definitely be returning for all future check ups.
They have a great selection of frames as well, my insurance sadly did not cover the frames so i was unable to get them there but either way everything was better than great.

I had a great visit. There was almost no wait on my arrival, and I was quickly seen. Dr Rimm was professional but friendly and personable. She answered every question and offered some suggestions as well as giving me samples for dry eye. Her assistants likewise were also very friendly and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'd highly recommend her and will go back again when needed.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rimm. I had never had an eye exam before, and I received a comprehensive one. She explained everything to me and made sure to assuage my fear and anxieties. She is also continuing to help me and gave me her card for any future issues or questions I might have.
