About Dr. Jessica Ustick
A native Houstonian, Dr. Jessica Ustick left Texas to attend Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She then returned to her home state to obtain her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science degrees from the University of Houston. Dr. Ustick completed her Master’s degree studying the optic nerve with ultrasound technology. She has presented her research at several national conferences and has been published in the Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics journal.
During her time at the University of Houston, Dr. Ustick enjoyed serving her optometric community by working as a teaching assistant and tutor, as well as holding leadership positions in the school’s chapters of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Throughout her optometric education, she received multiple awards recognizing her excellence in clinic, patient care, ocular disease, and optics. She completed externship clinical training at several practices in Houston, gaining experience in specialty contact lens fitting, ocular pathology and myopia management, providing care to special needs adults and children, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management.
Dr. Ustick especially enjoys connecting with her patients and providing state-of-the-art eye care. In her free time, she loves being outdoors (except during the heat of Houston’s summer), playing basketball, caring for her houseplants, spending time with friends and family, and traveling—her favorite trip was to Iceland, Norway, and Scotland.

I had called ahead of time to verify pricing for out of Insurance. Once I got there that was inaccurate. They said the actual contact prescription varied based upon the type of contact that I had. Which makes no sense. I can see the contacts changing price based upon the type, but not the actual piece of paper that has the script on it. I gave a lengthy Google review of bait and switch practices and no integrity Customer Service.
