About Dr. Jihan Akhtar
Jihan Akhtar is a diligent and caring ophthalmologist serving the communities of Northbrook and Chicago, IL. Dr. Akhtar attended the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she received her medical degree. She completed her internship at MacNeal Hospital and her residency in ophthalmology at Emory University.

I thought Dr. Akhtar seemed very thorough in terms of medical advice, but she was very cold and unfriendly. I didn’t feel comfortable around her.

Dr. Akhtar was great! Super professional, but also very easy going. I am pregnant and needed an eye appt. to check for retinopathy - and she knew all of the risks and workarounds regarding the dilation drops ahead of time and had several courses of action for me to choose from.
I will definitely be going back :) Highly Recommended.
