About Dr. Joanna Hsia

Joanna Hsia, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California, where she was recognized as a Nelson Scholar. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. Before pursuing optometry, Dr. Hsia worked in banking and finance, but chose a career in eye care because she enjoys working closely with patients and has a strong interest in science and vision. In addition to providing comprehensive eye care, she has been recognized for her contributions to optometric research. Dr. Hsia values being part of the Dove Canyon Optometry team and enjoys the collaborative, patient-focused environment. She is fluent in Mandarin and Spanish, allowing her to better serve a diverse patient community. Outside of the office, Dr. Hsia enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband are raising their young son and daughter, along with their dog, Milo. She also enjoys volunteering on medical mission trips with Baptist Medical and Dental Missions International and hopes to include her family on a future trip.
