Dr. Chirban is a licensed clinical psychologist in Massachusetts and California, holding a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University’s University Professors program in Clinical Psychology and Oral Histories, as well as a Th.D. from Harvard University in Medicine, Psychology, and Religion. As a Certified Health Provider, he serves as Director of Cambridge Counseling Associates and taught at Harvard Medical School and The Cambridge Health Alliance for more than 25 years. He designed courses in intimacy and sexuality, sexual dysfunction, family relationships, and spirituality and psychotherapy. His clinical specializations include identity formation, relationships and family issues, personality problems, health concerns, and issues of meaning and spirituality. Dr. Chirban has served as Guardian ad litem for the Massachusetts family court system and was granted membership in the Society for Sex, Therapy, and Research. He has authored numerous books and professional articles and wrote two weekly blogs for Psychology Today on parenting and spirituality. He continues to serve on the Advisory Board of the Dr. Phil show, having been invited to participate since the program’s inception.
