I needed driving glasses with 3 progressive sections; the cost was prohibitive and the lenses could not be made for driving… even the highest price model has fuzzy edges; fine for the office but dangerous for driving. ”

About Dr. John Meyers

Dr. John Meyers was raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and has lived and worked in the Tampa Bay area for over 45 years. He attended high school at Clearwater Central Catholic. After graduation, he pursued his dream of becoming an optometrist at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He then achieved his Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. After graduation and four years of practicing in Michigan, he returned to Florida. In 2003, he opened Dr. Meyers and Associates, his first practice inside LensCrafters at Gulfview Square Mall in Port Richey, Florida. Two years later, he opened his second office inside LensCrafters on Sunset Pointe Road in Clearwater. When not working, Dr. Meyers enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and two dogs. He is an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and enjoys watching and attending games when he can. Golfing is also a passion he tries to enjoy whenever possible.
