About Dr. Jonah Berman
Jonah Berman, OD, FAAO practices full-scope Optometry in New York City and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. He also received education at Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Berman believes in providing superlative vision services and enjoys taking care of patients by delivering the clearest, most comfortable vision while ruling out current and potential eye problems. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (including past president of the New York chapter), a previous examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and has lectured nationally. Dr. Berman completed a thorough exam and really took the extra time to explain my eye exam and address all of my concerns. I really appreciated Dr Berman's knowledge and wisdom of maintaining healthy eyesight.
The sales associate was also extremely helpful in breaking down the prices for my glasses, and picking my new frames.

Dr.Jonah was the sweetest, was always super concerned I felt comfortable with all the machinery/procedures etc. Very friendly, great bedside manner.
The lady at the front was very nice as well, helped me try out different glasses, and gave me honest feedback about how they looked on me, which is highly appreciate. Overall, great experience.

Dr. Berman took his time explaining all the equipment he was going to use to evaluate my vision, which I greatly appreciated since this has never happened before with other providers. He is generous with his advice and time in addressing all my concerns, and it seems like he really cares about his patients and their wellbeing.

Loved meeting with Dr. Berman, he was so attentive, super sweet and just a pleasure to work with. He explained everything we were doing, was very careful that nothing bothered me or my eyes, and by far the best experience I've had in years of wearing glasses and getting my eyes regularly checked. Will definitely be back!

Very thorough and kind practitioner! Was just a lovely experience… was expecting a quick annual appt as usual, but he was really remarkable in the care he took. He wasn’t rushed at all despite it being a holiday afternoon appt, and explained everything, also making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I tend to appreciate efficiency over everything, but I really appreciated his attitude. You can tell he really cares about his patients!

Of every optometrist I have visited in my life, Dr. Berman was the best. He took true care of ensuring that my updated prescription was the best it could be, spending time to explain each step of the process. Even though I've gotten yearly prescriptions, I've never been so sure that the prescription was better than my previous. Dr. Berman really was able to show the changes we were making and confirm they were a better fit for my eyes. The rest of the office staff also took great care to find new frames and lenses, even noting some irregularities in my current glasses.

I came back to this clinic because of Dr. Berman ( whom I consulted 2 years ago) I really appreciate how meticulous and passionate he is plus he explains almost everything, he is not someone who will just say “everything looks good” instead he will tell you the reason why the result was good. The young lady at the front who assisted before seeing the doctor was courteous and accommodating. She explained my insurance benefits well. Dr. Berman is highly recommended.

Dr. Berman was kind and easy to talk to; he went out of his way to clean the equipment in my presence. The doctor was also very thorough when performing my eye exam, taking detailed notes for future visits.
All the office staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I was trying to pick out glasses - allowing me to try on multiple pairs without rushing me.
I'm looking forward to my next annual visit!
