About Dr. Jose Calderon
Dr. Calderon began practicing medicine in 2006. He graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Guadalajara and completed his residency at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as the Chairman of the Board of OBGYN at Countryside Hospital. There is no midwife on his staff. Dr. Calderon takes great pride in always being available for his patients. If you call his office and ask to speak with him, you will be able to. If he is with a patient or at the hospital delivering, he is the one who will call you back. He is extremely dedicated to his work and truly cares about every patient who trusts him. His office is also bilingual, which makes it very accommodating for patients. All Femcare Professionals do not take high-risk pregnancy patients; this includes OB patients with hypertension, drug abuse, diabetes, and insulin-dependent diabetes.

Despite the fact that I had an early morning appointment, I waited for 45 minutes. Then I saw the dr for about 15 min, he did the anual exam and we spoke about my medical problems. I brought blood work for the appointment and he didn’t even see it (even though it had information about how my thyroid is working and I might have hormonal issues). He just prescribed me some pills. When I realized he was already with another patient, and I felt like the appointment had a sudden end. It didn’t feel right.

Having recently moved from MA to FL, I needed to find a new OBGYN. After some research I settled on Dr. Jose Calderon. I had my first appointment yesterday, and could not be more please with his skills, professionalism, processes, patient time allotted, and thoroughness. Additionally, the staff at All Femcare - from the office manager to the attending nurse were pleasant, detailed and highly proficient. Their office … i.e. waiting room, patient room and exam room were each spotless, modern and comfortable; and is located in what appears to be a relatively new building in a good location. Highly recommend!

Dr Calderon was very kind and easy to speak to, his staff were all very kind as well. I also appreciated his patience and dialogue during my exam so that I knew what to expect and felt more comfortable. Wait time for my appointment was a bit longer than expected, but this was most likely my own fault for not showing up sooner to fill out my new patient paperwork and medical history info. Definitely recommend reaching out to the office in advance or showing up 15-20 mins earlier than scheduled appointment times to complete this if new patients wish to be seen on time. Other than this, it was a great experience overall and I will be returning to them for my future annual pelvic exams. :)

Dr. Calderon was a great listener and got to work on all my issues right away. I’m scheduled for surgery, got my antibiotics, and labwork all in a few days. The staff is super sweet and they explained everything to me. Coming from Europe and recently moved to US, I need to have explained a lot of terms and be confident in the insurance coverage and the next steps. They are very understanding and attentative. The move to this country has been stressful and it’s nice not to have to worry what’s going to happen to me and how do I take care of this.

DO NOT GO HERE!
1. When taking my personal information/history they left the door open with another patient sitting right outside
2.Their we’re styrofoam cups full of pee sitting on a counter right next to me. Ewwwww!
3. I was instructed to pee in a styrofoam cup and write my name on it using sharpie in the bathroom and place it on the counter next to the other cups of pee.
4. Before even examining me the Doctor proceeded to tell me I probably had PCOS and diabetes. Which I do not have.
5. He told me to treat my “irregular” periods I should lose weight. I have been super skinny and a regular size and my periods have not changed since I first started having them.
6.the socks where you put your feet on for an exam were black with dirt and super unsanitary
7. No one knocked on the door to see if I was done changing they just barged in.
8. He kept trying to get my on birth control which I told him I did not want to be on.
Overall terrible experience do not go here.

Dr. Calderon is a wonderful doctor. His bedside manner was great. He asked appropriate questions and listened when I answered. The office is super clean and the front desk personnel was so nice. My wait time to see the doctor was within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I would recommend Dr. Calderon and his office if you’re looking for an OB/GYN.

After scheduling the appt online and and answering a followup call from the office, when I arrived, the staff and doctor were still not clear why I was there (although it was discussed). I had an appt for 230 and wasn't seen until 4pm. The doctor was very pushy about the COVID vaccine although I mentioned I had no plans of taking it until further research was done and time had passed. Overall the doctor was knowledgeable and supportive, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Office seemed very unsanitary, not clean. They took urine samples in Styrofoam cups and had about 10 open cups all together of patients urine. I've never seen anything like it. Wait time was pretty long for a 5 min pap. First time patient and the doctor barely even introduced himself.
Not planning on sticking with him.

Dr. Calderon is fine. It is the practice that is a problem. This is the second time I have gone to this office.The first time in 2019, I waited over an hour to be seen, so I vowed I wouldn't go back. I reconsidered, and this time waited 55 minutes. It was unbearable with the mask foolishness! They definitely need more office staff. My time is as valuable as the doctor's, and I won't wait that long again!
