If you would like an ultrasound on the same day as your new OB appointment, details will be provided in your ZocDoc appointment confirmation email.** *** In most cases for IUD/Nexplanon insertion, 5 business days are necessary to confirm insurance coverage and is not included in annual exams/pap smears. IUD/Nexplanon insertion is done during a woman's menstrual cycle, or if she is on another reliable form of contraception, or if she has not had intercourse for 2 weeks. Please schedule your appointment accordingly. *** Dr. Julia Simon is a general obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Simon received her medical degree from Rush University. She currently serves as the Associate Residency Program Director for the Section of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Simon and would recommend her to anyone! All the staff were friendly and the appointment started right on time. Dr. Simon’s bedside manner is the best of any gynecologist I’ve seen and the whole experience was quick and painless. She took all my questions and concerns seriously and was very easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend Dr. Simon, in fact I texted my friends right after the appointment to book a pap smear with her if they’ve never had one before!! It was my first pap smear and she made me feel sooo comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Simon, she is an amazing physician!

I've been to a handful of OBGYN's in my life and I've never had one as intentional and welcoming as this! She was so inredibly detailed in how she explained things, and really made sure you felt comfortable talking with her. If I could rate 10 stars I would!

I met with Dr. Simon for a virtual consultation appointment and it was a wonderful experience. She is very smart and I got the sense that she's very up-to-date on research. She gave a thorough explanation of my options in terms that I could understand, and I didn't feel condescended to at any point (which sometimes happens w doctors). I'm looking forward to continuing to see her and would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a competent and kind doctor.

Dr. Simon is wonderful! Since it was my first visit, she spent time going through my history with me. She was a fantastic listener and took time to answer all of my questions. I usually hate my annual paps but with Dr. Simon it was a breeze! I will be back :)

She was extremely personable and I didn’t feel rushed at all. She answered all of my questions and I felt very comfortable. The wait times were also very short-I was seen within minutes of my arrival and the swaps between nurse and doctor were extremely fast too. Plus for the fact that the office validates 90 minutes of parking in the lot there so you can drive and park easily. I will definitely be going back to this doctor specifically in the future.
