Dr. Nadel holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University. Practice policy and billing: * Dr. Nadel does not prescribe medication. * You must be enrolled in a minimum of 4 weeks of sessions to receive any evaluation paperwork for work or school. Dr. Nadel does not participate in court-related or court-mandated psychotherapy. * You must confirm your appointment with Dr. Nadel within 24 hours of scheduling to keep it. * Please check with your insurance provider to see if they cover out-of-network behavioral health services.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a licensed clinical psychologist that works with teens, adults, and families providing psychotherapy through telehealth video. I treat a range of problems, including anxiety and depression, OCD and phobias, specializing in sleep issues, identity, self-image issues, postpartum, and life transitions. I have been practicing in the field for 20 years, having worked at inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric emergency rooms, and on university campuses. I also specialize in the training of psychology doctoral and mental health students.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you book an appointment through Zocdoc I will contact you to meet on video or phone before the session for a short free 15 minute consultation. This consultation will allow me to hear about your needs and will give you the opportunity to ask questions about treatment with me. **PRACTICE POLICIES: *Please note that once you schedule an appointment with me on ZocDoc you will need to take these 2 steps in order to keep this appointment within 24 hours of MAKING the appointment: 1) Complete intake forms that I will email to you, and 2) Confirm the appointment with me. I will contact you with the paperwork and may request more information during this 24 hour period. *Dr. Nadel does not prescribe medication *You must be enrolled in psychotherapy with Dr. Nadel for a minimum of 4 sessions to obtain any written letters or documentation for work or school.

Dr. Nadel was fianlly able to identify that what I have been dealing with a specific anxiety that had a name. Providing me with information about OCD and treatment for it I have finally do not feel that it is going to control my life anymore.
Dr. Nadel was helpful in providing me with a safe place to discuss very private issues that I have been struggling with for a while. I feel comfortable speaking with her about details in my life that I don't feel comfortable talking about with close family and friends.
