About Dr. Karen Roperti
Dr. Roperti specializes in gynecologic care for women of all ages. She treats women for abnormal bleeding, abnormal Pap smears, contraceptive management, menopause, vulvar dystrophy, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and gynecologic infections. She has been caring for women in the greater Pittsburgh area for over 25 years. Dr. Roperti is skilled in the insertion and removal of IUDs, pessary fitting for pelvic organ prolapse, and performing biopsies for abnormal Pap smears, abnormal bleeding, and vulvar abnormalities. Her clinical interests include promoting wellness and healthy lifestyles for women in all stages of life, as well as coordinating care and support for women facing gynecologic illness. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Magee-Womens Hospital, and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Roperti themselves was very kind and professional, however the nurse was cold and made the room more uncomfortable. There was no trans inclusion in the forms or questions asked of me. Dr Roperti was a relief to meet however the rest of the office did not feel as welcoming or caring.
