About Dr. Kathryn Hopper
Kathryn Hopper, O.D. is an optometrist at Brewer Eye Associates, where she provides vision care at our Philadelphia and North Wales locations. She is originally from Newburgh, New York. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.
Dr. Hopper is therapeutically trained and is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She also prescribes glasses and fits contact lenses to correct all combinations of refractive error. The person who gave me my initial tests was rather rude and difficult to deal with. The tests she performed were new to me, and I was unclear on what I was supposed to do. They made me feel very uncomfortable and bad about my inability to do them properly.

My appointment was 3hrs long I wanted contacts and she refused to fit me for contacts and stated I needed to do “research” on contacts as if I wasn’t 39! Unclear as to what she thought I didn’t know, as a Dr. she couldn’t simply inform me! I do not recommend!

Will not be going back and do not recommend. Do not feel comfortable there. The doctor wants to help Pearle Vision to make sales since her office is inside.
I just want an eye exam only since I’m on a tight schedule today.
The doctor was pressuring me to get glasses and even I made it clear just want an eye exam today. I told her I wanted to head to LensCrafters for eye glasses instead and she looked upset and walked me out.

Dr. Hopper is a fantastic person. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. Each step of the way she showed me cool images of my eyes. Even at the end of her shift she was a delight.
