Dr U. was excellent. I have finally found a PCP that is efficient, extremely knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Dr. U.
Dr. Uleis is great. He called me on the weekend to follow up my results. He was efficient, answering all my questions without making me feel rushed, but still making up for all the time lost waiting for the appointment to start, which was 30-45 minutes. As for the office, oof. It's absurd how they want you to do all the paperwork again even if you were just there a few days ago and all your records (including meds!) are in their electronic system. It's like they don't want you to realize how long you're waiting, so they give you a bunch of forms. Bad for the environment, and bad for my temper! They obviously don't take full advantage of Zocdoc info, since the paper form they give you asks you to mark which doctor you're seeing (um...the one I have the appointment with), and what the reason for the visit is.
I was feeling rushed while seeing Dr. Uleis. He wouldn't let me speak about my symptoms and he was doing the talking most of the time. I don't think I will be coming back.
Very nice. Easy to talk with. Caring.
My visit was great. Dr Uleis is very helpful and he tells me everything that he is doing as he does it.
He seemed rushed. The wait time was too long.
This was my first visit to Dr. Uleis’ office and it was a wonderful experience. Office staff was very pleasant, short wait time and saw Dr.Uleis quickly. Highly recommend Dr. Uleis!!
Dr. Uleis was more than accommodating with extra procedures. His examination was very quick yet thorough and he went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order. The one criticism I'd offer is there should be a way to virtually fill out paper work ahead of time online to ensure I'm not spending time in the lobby doing just that.
This was for annual physical exam. The staff very clearly explained to me what is covered and what will not be covered by insurance. They gave me an informative printout to keep for reference. Dr. Walked me through every test that he was doing. He was very friendly and seems genuinely interested in conducting the physical exam.
Uleis is a sweetheart and always offers time and patience for you to ask any questions you have. He is wonderful. However, as far as the OFFICE/practice goes - I am FURIOUS, and I have to decide if I will ever come back. I had an appointment, yet waited nearly an hour and a half - for a THREE minute appointment. All I needed was to have a prescription refilled. It was the middle of the day - I had to get back to work! I spoke with an office staff member 5 times to have them speed things up and get me seen, and nothing worked. It was appalling - I was in tears out of frustration. Also, I've been there so many times, and the office staff made me fill out so much paperwork because my address changed 6 months ago.I had to re answer questions like medical history and allergies. I did not have the time for that! I made an appointment for a reason and showed up without the time to fill out all of that paperwork since I had been there so many times. And they kept asking ME how much my copay was - my insurance has NEVER changed. I couldn't be more livid with my experience. However, please take note that this has NOTHING to do with the lovely Dr Uleis.
As usual, Dr. Uleis was attentive, patient (no pun intended), and eager to answer any and all questions. He phoned me the next day to discuss my test results and recommend next steps. We must have spent at least 10 minutes on the phone together. I cannot rate Dr. Keith Uleis highly enough nor recommend him with more enthusiasm! Deroy M. New York City
Really really bad waiting..the doctor asked 3 patients to get into 3 different rooms at the same time..I don't know how they plan the schedule..the guy who took my blood got out twice right before taking my blood..really !? After I got my blood done they asked me to wait ...but after another 10 mins waiting I just can't stand anymore, so I left
Dr. Uleis is very professional and attentive he answered all my questions and concerns. He listens and gives knowledgeable advice.
Dr. Uleis was really friendly, thorough, and professional. He is the first primary care doctor I've found that I feel like I can really trust and who listens intently.
Dr. Uleis is a great physician, but the office seems to be poorly run. Both times that I was there, the office appeared to be overbooked. Today, I waited an hour to see the doctor, and I would have had to wait longer if I hadn’t seriously pestered. Once he was finally able to see me, we had no more than two minutes together because I had to leave for a different appointment. I’m lucky I wasn’t seeing the doctor for anything serious.
Good bedside manner, very nice, will go back again
Dr Uleis has been one of the excellent doctor. He is very knowledgable and listen to patients very well. Excellent practitioner.
Dr.Uleis is an outstanding physician who truly cares about his patients. One never feels rushed during the appointment and his bedside manner is flawless. We need more doctors like him.
I’ve been at this walk-in clinic since 2000. This time was 1st to make an appointment. Long wait either way, despite, service & care by all doctors are fabulous.
It was terrible. Doctor/nurse/receptionist all had minimal interpersonal skills. I waited 55 minutes for a TDAP and flu shot. Doctor was literally in my room for less than 30 seconds total. I will never go back here and will not recommend this practice to anyone else.
We caring service
He was very thorough and spent time with me to hear my concerns and offer suggestions. I would recommend him any day.
Good visit. Was in and out quickly
Dr. Uleisseemed to be very good. He made my visit very confortable.
I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day but the entire experience was horrendous. I went to see him as a new patient for an annual physical. I was left waiting to see him for over 1.5 hours. Once I was finally put in an examination room, I waited another 20 mins while hearing another patient yell at him for 10 mins for something he apparently missed. After she stormed out, he came over to move me to that room. He asked me to change in prep for examination and I was then left waiting for him for another 20 mins. When he finally returned, he proceeded to check my blood pressure and "taught" me how to check my blood pressure--like it was a game. He spoke to me the whole time like I was a child in a pediatrician's office. Normally, I may have found it entertaining but I was annoyed at having to wait for him for 2 hours and having to cancel my dinner plans because of it. He didn't really drop valuable knowledge or useful information during the check up. Something in his manner and "style" just made me feel uncomfortable on top of being annoyed. Just from my experience, I would definitely not recommend him.
Very reassuring and thorough doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Took time to explain everything clearly and backed it up with factual evidence .
He is very good articulate and with busy day he make sure his patient are not worried about time. Overall he is good.
Wonderful Doctor! Highly recommended.
He's very thorough, explains what's going on in easy to understand terms, and seems like he genuinely cares for his patients (which is rare to find these days). Also the staff at the front desk are super friendly, competent and willing to help. Will definitely visit again!
This visit was super quick and efficient. My appointment was presumably the first (8:30am) which is great to fit in before work. I was in, seen and out with pescription in hand within 25mins. Dr Uleis was very personable and professional and I would definitely see again. Thank you!
Explained everything, very detailed as he explained what he was doing and knowledgeable. Pleasant and easy to speak to.
Dr Uleis will make you laugh even though you are very sick.
I saw a couple other reviews that suggested a long wait time was in store. I incorrectly hypothesized a mid-afternoon appointment on a Wednesday would lead to efficient service; I wasn't seen by anyone until an hour after my appointment time. Dr. Uleis was great when I had his attention, but he was running back and forth between a few different patients, which is more likely the hospital's fault for overbooking him than his fault. I would recommend Dr. Uleis, but I would advise against visiting Mount Sinai unless you'd like to waste an afternoon in a waiting room.
Very efficient and helpful. Explanations easy to understand.
Very nice and makes sure you have no questions left, wants to help patients however he can
Doctor is very knowledgable and professional.
Extremely personable . Gave very thorough explanations as to his observations and examination . I felt great confidence in dr uleis and would highly recommend him.
Very nice & thorough. Very optimistic & respectful.
He's extremely friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable with him. However I was left waiting for almost 40 minutes even though I had an appointment with him which was frustrating. He seemed to go off for a wander at the time of my appointment and was in no hurry to get back. When he finally saw me I told him I was in a rush and he helped me very quickly then.
Office is a bit disorganized but the doctor is very good.
Very great Dr always on time.
Really takes his time - never rushes you and makes sure all questions are answered.
Dr. Uleis is always very thorough and thoughtful.
Dr. Uleis was incredible. One of the best PCP I have ever been treated by. Super gentle, calm, explains everything to you in much detail. Re assures you. I highly recommend him and he will def be my new PCP moving forward.
I saw Dr. Uleis for an injury that was at risk of infection. He provided me with a lot of detailed information and instructions about treatment, follow-up care, and things to watch out for, made sure I understood, and gave me plenty of opportunities to ask questions. He was a good listener, and based on our discussion, it was clear he had reviewed my medical record thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Uleis.
Dr. Uleis is an excellent doctor. Short wait and pleasant experience.
He is good.
My appointment with Dr. Uleis was very good. The Dr. was informative, attentive, and thorough. The one area I find to be tedious and a bit archaic is when sent for X-rays by the doctor it is like going to a separate Clinic. Need to fill our paper work again, including identifying reason for x-ray. Same for Colonoscopy screening. This is not the Dr.'s fault this is operational. The clinic needs to be integrated so a Dr.'s request from downstairs is in the system with all the information required for further test, screenings etc...
Great doctor who leaves very cautious, intelligent, and honest feedback, but does not necessarily the best supporting staff. Long wait time expected
The staff was wonderful, the wait time not so much. But, my husband has been twice to this office and not had to wait at all, so they may have just been very busy today. Overall, definitely recommend!
Dr. Uleis was wonderful. Patient, helpful, and explained everything very well. He went the extra mile to connect me to a specialist and answer all my questions. The office, however, was less than great. I filled out my medical info online beforehand, but the receptionist castigated me for not printing it out, which I was not asked to do by the office or by zocdoc. They do not have the ability to print it out (???) so I had to fill out every form again. Took 25 minutes. She then proceeded to give me advice that was in contradiction to what my insurance carrier gave over the phone in regards to scheduling appointments and getting referrals so I can be charged the right rate. After I met with Dr. Uleis, she argued with me about the type of doctor I needed to make another appointment with, even when I told her I was just handing her the names of doctors that Dr. Uleis gave me. I was ill and almost in tears with frustration after her. She was also difficult to schedule a follow-up with, only being helpful when the doctor came out. Bewildering. Go for Uleis and hope someone else is at the desk.
Friendly doctor who will gladly answer any questions and explain what he is doing.
Professional, knowledgeable and truly cares about his patients.
Very nice and kind treatment and explains with knowledge. Also very humorous that made me comfortable. Responds your questions throuhg mt sinai mychart website very quickly. I will def see him again for my next check up.
He is old school. Explains everything. Pretty caring.
I requested him as my PCP. I really love seeing Dr. Uleis. He is patient and kind.
He was respectful of my time, asked when I had to be back at work, repeatedly asked if I had any questions to make sure all my needs were met.
The doc was fine. The problem was the administrative side of things. I made the appointment online for 3.30, but they didn't have any info when I arrived, so I filled out the firm. I chose this doc because my regular one didn't have availability, but he was in the office, which caused some confusion. At one point I sat in a room for 15 minutes and no one came in, so I went back to reception. Once Dr. U was engaged, he was focused, but it took way too long. Unrelated, my health insurance company made me jump thru hoops to get the prescription filled at CVS. The system is broken!
Doctor Keith Uleis was a pleasure, very understanding and friendly.
I love that he's very professional and I have confidence in him. He don't take chances he checks everything out.
I have been to this practice twoce and both times my wait has been over an hour. The front desk didn't have any change for the copay, and when I asked if it would be much longer after half an hour of waiting, I was told I was next, but still didn't see the doctor for another 35 minutes. .. I left before the exam was complete as I really didn't feel well and couldn't sit up any longer... This is also a walk in clinic and people who walked in were told that there was an hour wait. I waited over an hour even though I had an appointment! If this happened once, I would accept the excuse that they were under staffed, but once it happens twice, this is just a poorly run office...
Waited 1.5 hours to see the doctor. Almost left. Office needs to keep to the schedule better and take appointment patients before walk ins.
Very patient and took his time to explain every single detail related to my treatment!! Definitely recommend him..
Person at front desk was super friendly and was expecting me. In fairness I was the last appointment on a Sunday so weekday service might be worse. Dr. Uleis was very professional and friendly. He gave me descriptions of what examination he was performing (went in for physical) with his observations. He encouraged me to ask questions and patiently answered them. I've been to assembly line doctors where they see you for less than 2 minutes to move ontk the next patient and this was the total opposite. I will be coming back here again.
Unacceptable wait. I was told one patient ahead of me and waited an hour. Once I said I was leaving and this was unacceptable, he told me he had no idea I was waiting and saw me immediately. I see doctors of incredible pedigree and that respect your busy day and see you on time.
Dr. Uleis is a model physician. I would walk across hot coals to recommend him to others. Deroy M. - Manhattan
He was great but the front desk was somewhat disorganized
This was one of my most productive doctor appointments, as Dr. Uleis took the time to address several of my health issues. In fact, he talked to me about three different, unrelated concerns in detail and went over all my prescriptions with a lot of attention. I really felt he went above and beyond to help me understand my ailments and the reasons he was prescribing each medicine.
He is an awesome Doctor, first time and I will definetely keep him as my primary care doctor
Probably the only doctor I trust - he does not try and shove you with medications he gives you alternative, brings in knowledge on diet as well. Just a very good doctor.
Dr. Uleis is fantastic! He's patient, polite and really cares about the needs of his patients. Highly recommend!
Extremely attentive and takes the time to explain everything.
We found that Dr. Uleis was great in terms of bedside manner, thoroughness, and offering explanations. However, the issues came after the wonderful first visit... We thought we lucked out when we found a doctor that was rated highly for quality care so close by, but goodness, when my insurance rated him as "This physician meets the criteria for providing quality care but does not meet the criteria or is not evaluated for cost-efficient care," we did not realize how correct that statement would be... Additional follow-ups and tests, etc... Referring us to another physician within the office for even more tests... We had to have returned 7-8 times for the same tests... After that, we always had to physically come in to get our results too, instead of a discussion over the phone. Worse, though they would call us in asking us to do them a favor and readjust to a sudden time, when we showed up, they were not ready for us and kept us waiting - sometimes for hours. Each time they made us come in for these follow-ups, they would hit us up with yet another bill. We finally simply gave up on returning there - we felt we were being nickel and dimed. We actually liked Dr. Uleis, but we will be using another more cost-efficient doctor.
It was very slow to get the paperwork going, and then slower to get seen, even as one of the first appointments of the day. The doctor was somewhat helpful, telling me all the things to avoid when seeing a specialist, but some of it seemed like questionable advice. The doctor himself was not that helpful for what seemed like straightforward questions. Maybe he's better when seeing him for something general rather than something requiring a specialist, but I won't go back.
very intelligent and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it, and made sure to answer all questions
Demonstrated a wide range of knowledge and I left feeling really informed and reassured about my symptoms. The office staff gave me the paperwork to sign (again) even though I brought copies with me and they later accidentally cancelled my card payment for the copay which resulted in phone tag and a problem to fix later. Could of been avoided
So excited that he was open on a Sunday. I have a flight to California this week and was having a terrible back issue. I booked Saturday night, he saw me early Sunday. He gave me tips and meds. Really nice guy. Happy I found him.
The doctor and staff was very prompt and friendly-I got seen right away. Service and bedside manner was excellent. Not only did he give me advice for the problem that I came in for, but also on my past history. He made sure I was aware of any potential issues and how to solve them or who to see. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Uleis.
I received another patient's test results in the mail after my appointment. Will not be returning.
It was fine but I waited 1 hour 30 minutes to see him that was not fun.
Great doctor, thorough, goes over everything and always ready to answer any questions. Could have been perfect if it wasn't for unpleasant front desk.
Dr. Uleis was great! I was initially thrown off because his photo pictured here probably hasn't been updated in a while - he's a bit older, and the photo actually doesn't do him justice - he looks so serious here but he is actually very friendly. I've never had any doctor be so thorough or transparent with me (in a good way). He explained exactly what he was doing as he was doing it - "I'm checking your liver here, your spleen, your kidney, etc." I happened to bring some previous lab results and he even went line by line to explain to me what each reading was, what it measured, and if my results were good/bad. He listened to my concerns, followed up by assessing those concerns (and again, explaining as he went), how I could monitor myself, and was very reassuring. He was very considerate of what I wanted to do. Gave me options about taking blood, additional tests, etc. And again, in closing asked if I had any questions and let me know he was available to contact if any ever came up afterwards. Very happy to have found him. I will be making him my PCP for sure
First a quick FYI - Google Maps app incorrectly shows his 55 East 34th street office to be between Lex and 3rd, which is inaccurate. It's in between Madison and Park and you can actually enter the 57 East 34th street doors (they send you to that side anyway). I showed up 15 minutes early to the appointment, with all documents supplied by Zocdoc prefilled. The elderly lady at the front desk was very charming and kind, but forgot to process the one paper that apparently lets us get called in to be seen... so my appointment ended up starting 15 minutes late. He listened to my concerns, followed up by assessing those concerns (and again, explaining as he went), how I could monitor myself, and was very reassuring. At one point he stepped out to let me get into the hospital gown and didn't return for 10-15 minutes, which I personally thought was a bit excessive/unnecessary... I thought he may have forgotten about me, but when I opened my door I could overhear him checking in with the next patient (who happened to be my husband) before returning. It makes sense though... get the next patient started while you give the current one time to change, without rushing them. He was very considerate of what I wanted to do. Gave me options about taking blood, additional tests, etc. And again, in closing asked if I had any questions and let me know he was available to contact if any ever came up afterwards. Very happy to have found him. I will be making him my PCP for sure!
excellent doctor , very informative, lets me know exactly what he is looking, highly recommended.
If someone is coming in for a 3:45pm appointment with a hand injury and specifically says that they're there for an X-ray to see if their hand is broken, maybe don't wait to first see them AFTER 5pm and then tell them "I'm sorry, the radiology department leaves at 5pm."
If you're considering booking the last time slot on Saturday, I would advise against doing so. My excellent visit with Dr. Uleis came with blood test and billing issues as a direct result of my appointment's timing. This has ultimately led to a poor experience which I will explain below. However, I would like to say I definitely recommend Dr. Uleis as one of the most intelligent and well-spoken doctors I have ever known. He eagerly offered explanations to any question I posed of him, and he provided more understandable explanations than I ever received in my pre-med biology classes. I was truly satisfied with his service; my complaint is with billing. My exam included a blood test, and I was told the results would be sent to Beth Israel's laboratory. I assumed that this meant within the same medical center, which would grant me the same insurance coverage, but it was instead sent to one of their labs outside of the center. Unfortunately, my insurance did not cover this particular lab, so I'm on the hook to cover that out of pocket. If I had been given notice that my lab work would be sent to a different site, I would have checked my coverage and chosen a covered site - that question was missed because it was late in the day. I also received word that one of my blood tests had to be nullified due to the blood sitting for too long - also caused by the appointment timing. This test wasn't very important, but it would have been nice to get accurate results on all test. I would like to see Dr. Uleis again for other routine check-ups, but I will have to settle the insurance difficulties with his staff before I can do so.
I really wasn't expecting much. When I arrived at the office I thought I schedule a wrong doctor specialist, which in fact was the point - thanks zoc doc for doing this twice to me [you suck at scheduling a doctor that fits the illness]. Anyways, Dr. Uleis took care of me anyways and helped me with my inquiry. He is a great personable doctor. Very human. Best doctor experience I've ever had. ????????????????????????????????????
Dr. Uleis is very thorough, and he does not rush you through. He really takes the time to understand your issues. So I have stayed with him for years now.
I trust him completely. He is kind, thorough and very knowledgeable. There aren't too many doctors who actually care about their patients. Dr. U is that doctor who does. Highly recommended.
There was a pretty long wait after my scheduled appointment time (about 45 minutes). Other than that, the Dr. Uleis was great and probably worth the wait. I would definitely recommend.
Great doctor, very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall experience unfortunately let down by wait time.
Nice guy, but did not seem to be a great diagnostician. Referred me to a specialist without really looking at my issues. Would not return.
Waste of time and money
Dr. Uleis was incredible. He was so polite and thorough. He put me at ease and made me feel great about my decision to choose him as my primary care physician. He answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.
Very good at verbalizing his process and observations.
Dr. Uleis's office was never impersonal. He is extremely detailed and likes to explain everything. If you're the type of person with lots of questions, he's your doc. It was easy to talk to him, and the added bonus is the staff. The phlebotomist was top-notch and very professional. I highly recommend this office.
He's very attentive, emphasized to ask any questions, and that he's available if I have any questions/concerns or if conditions worsen.
Dr. Uleis was very helpful and personable. I would recommend him!
I've seen Dr. Uleis 3 times now, and can attest that he provides excellent attention to his patients. Despite working in an extremely busy clinic, Dr. Uleis has a positive energy, and you get the sense that he genuinely enjoys his work.
Appointment was really good . Doctor was very knowledgable.
He's a great doctor, very knowledgeable and a good bedside manor. Doesn't mess you around and explains things concisely.
He is an excellent and very sincere physician. I trust Dr. U completely and highly recommend him.
He is a consummate professional at the top of his game- very knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Quite simply, the best physician I've ever had.
I absolutely love this doctor... he is super personable, knowledgeable and actually listens to you. He made good changes with my medications. We made plans for follow up care. I left feeling like no stones had been left unturned.
Waited 90 minutes for him to tell me in 3 minutes that i had an ear infection. I had a 830am appt so was the 2nd person there. I don't know why the wait was so long. He's very friendly and informational ..but man that wait time is AWFUL.
He is an excellent Doc.!
After filling out all of the relevant paperwork online prior to my appointment, I was required to fill it all out again upon my visit. Other than that it was great.
Dr ULeis, during the examination, explains what he is doing and why. He prompts for any questions and he listens to your concerns or questions. His follow up to review test results is excellent because he always calls or invite you back in to go over result, etc.
Keith seems like a caring doctor, and would recommend him, except for the fact that I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment as directed and wasn't seen for 90 minutes after that. What's the point of making an appointment?
Dr. Uleis is an amazing doctor. He has very easy going down to earth demeanor. He is very communicative and makes sure you don't leave with any unanswered questions. Although the wait times can be a bit long, it's because he doesn't rush you through like you are just a number. The front desk staff could be a bit more friendly - they are rather abrupt and don't seem very happy to be there - but Dr. Uleis more than makes up for this.
I have been going to Keith since 2013. I recommend him highly.
He is VERY knowledgeable, helping me to wean off of medicine in which psychiatrists gave me the wrong information. He was the ONLY doctor who was able to give me successful information - and it is not even his specialization. Wonderful and awesome. Can't think of how to say how wonderful he truly is, highly recommend him and trust him completely.
excellent and professional in every way - short to the point very efficent
Super great service. Doctor was amazing
Dr Uleis is great, but the front desk has bad attitudes. It feels like we owe them something for showing up in their office.
Very professional and nice.
I showed up at 8:15am, which was 15 minutes early since it was my first time there. I filled out paperwork for 10 minutes and was called in at my original appointment time of 8:30am. Dr Uleis was very professional and narrated his every movement. This was very comforting as he taught me about my checkup. For example, he told me when he was feeling my kidneys, my liver, etc. and what he was looking for (soft/hard, etc.). I also had blood taken by a nurse, and was shown how to access my results online when the lab work was complete. Overall, I was very satisfied. I was looking for a new doctor since moving to NYC and am happy that I found Dr Uleis.
Very professional and took the time to answer any questions. I would highly recommend.
Very professional and informative
This was my first time with Dr. Uleis. His recommendations towards my health were realistic and he took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. His nurse was especially nice and caring towards me and staff was great. They called me in at the time of my appointment. I didn't have to wait over 30 minutes to an hour like at most doctor offices. I definitely recommend them.
I've never booked an appointment for a Saturday, fearing that everyone else probably books their appointments on weekends. However, when I got there I was the ONLY person in the waiting room. I was seen RIGHT AWAY! The first time this has every happened. What I like about Dr. Uleis is that he ALWAYS tells you WHAT he's doing and WHY he's doing it. He's very descriptive and his bedside manner is awesome. I'll always be booking my appointments on Saturdays from now on.
I think Dr Uleis has a great bedside manner. He takes the time to address your concerns. His answers are direct and helpful. He tries to put you at ease. And he always offer additional help or direct you where to get additional information. He always goes the extra mile!
Doctor Keith is a good doctor, as always.
I think Dr Uleis is an excellent doctor: His diagnosis was spot on and he took ample time to review and discuss my current medications and and adjust them until I recover from my current illness. I felt very comfortable in his care.
As usual Dr. Uleis has provided professional and quality attention.
He is wonderful. well educated in all areas, helped me to wean off Paxi l would highly recommend him. He also does not rush you.
excellent MD. intelligent. professional.
Dr. Uleis is very thorough, always patient and nothing short of a genius.
Very nice & Listens.
Although the wait time is quite long (around 1 hour), but Doc Uleis is truly knowledgeable and friendly during the consultation and gives lots of practical wellness advices.
Complete, articulate, and detailed. Very cool doctor.
The wait time is always terrible at this office. You are never seen at your appointment time
Dr. Uleis is a great doctor who cares about his patients. He is thorough, knowledgeable and very informative. Unlike other doctors that tune the patient out and push them out of the office to get to the next patient, he listened and gave me the feeling that he could help and that I was in the right place.
Dr. Uleis is a gifted GP with the rare combination of being passionate for the art of medicine and highly highly intelligent. I feel so lucky to be in his care. Highly recommended!!
I love his thoroughness and he explains everything he knows. But I tend to wait a bit longer than other physicians due to his thoroughness.
excellent , to the point , exact and thorough
I thought he was very through and extremely knowledgeable. I especially liked his manner, he listened to what I had to say and spoke with me not to me. He was genuine in his interest in my well being. I highly recommend him.
Dr Uleis is great, but the front desk is unfriendly. I didn't interact much with them, but for the whole time i was there, they didn't smile and didn't bother to be friendly with anyone. I understand they are probably over-worked, but who isn't in the city? Why act like we owe them an apology for coming in and give them business?
Impressive level of care. He did a very thorough exam and really took the time to explain things to me. It's obvious that he really likes helping people. Definitely one of the best doctors I've seen.
hes very knowledgable. i was in and out quickly.
He was excellent. Very caring, great bedside manner, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Uleis was to the point, but very knowledgeable. I called the office back because I had a question about my prescription and I got to speak directly to him. I thought that was great. I also appreciate that he works after hours so I don't have to miss work.
He was very nice, funny and helpful. He was able to answer all of my questions and gave me references for other doctors as well. I would definitely recommend him.
I love his directness and thoroughness. He makes himself available and approachable.
He made me feel really comfortable and he was very warm. I felt he really knew what he was doing and he explained everything very well.
Amazing doctor! He was thorough and very knowledgeable and really took the time to listen and explain everything. He asked all the right questions and gave me answers I had been looking for for a while. Dr. Uleis also has a great bedside manner that provides comfort and alleviates worry. He was easy, kind and helpful all while being thorough and professional. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.
I have been suffering from a medical issue for a while now, couldn’t get the help I needed. Dr. Uleis listened to my problems and put me on medication. The best part I like is he told me to call if I had any problems. I really feel he is the kind of doctor to call you back, most doctors never get the time to do it. I hope he will continue to work with me because right now I need all the understanding I can get. Thanks Dr. Uleis for giving me hope.
Very rushed. Answered my questions and checked in, but otherwise seemed eager to get the appointment over with.
Dr Uleis was great. I really appreciated his manner, which sounds funny but he was a mix of very professional/precise and funny at the same time. Also liked that he thought I should let my body try to fight before taking meds--gave me the option. Follow up question was answered quickly!? Could not believe I got an answer so fast without having to call.
Dr. Uleis is absolutely fantastic! Thorough AND quick...Not something you find quite often in a doctor.
He is very competent and seems to truly care about my concerns. He is very informed, my questions were answered to the fullest and recommendation to another doctor was excellent. Always thorough, always friendly and listens to your concerns. Good guy, great doctor. I trust him and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor.
There were zero diagnostic tests given at the beginning which I thought was strange. Only until the very end did he do my BP and listen to my lungs, still which was not adequate enough to make a diagnosis. Mind you there hadn't been an exam yet and he was ready to treat me (antibiotic) within about two and a half minutes of meeting me. When I said absolutely not, the appointment became progressively worse and doctor increasingly agitated. I felt like I was constantly fighting to be heard the entire time. Absolutely would not recommend.
He was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. All the things you want!
Excellent as usual. Dr. U really knows his stuff and explains everything thoroughly. When you talk to him, you'll find he's an interesting person that really does care about his job and you. Highly recommended.
This isn't my first time seeing him, last time was a few years ago. But nothing has changed, seems like he tries to get you in and out as fast as possible. Never even checked my vitals.
wrote incorrect prescription, made me wait at least 30-60 minutes longer than needed for simple results, will NEVER see this physician again and unfavorably recommended to any/all patients.
Thorough and helpful
DR. Uleis is the best. He is very informative.
Good caring doctor
Great doc. Nice and short visit. In and out Ina matter of 30mins and this was my first time going to this dude
The appointment itself was great. However, I waited a little over two hours before I saw the doctor and had to ask the receptionist what the hold up was before she realized someone had moved my paperwork or something to that effect.
Dr. Uleis is an awesome Dr. he's attentive listens to me when I speak. He always leads me to the right specialist. Overall I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Very good experience. Nice doctor and seemed knowledgeable. Good to have a regular doctor in New York I know I can trust.
Great bedside manner and very smart. I would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Uleis is excellent. He addressed all my concerns in both a scientific and humanistic manner and was a pleasure to deal with. Overall, his approach to patient care is off the charts. He was kind enough to speak to my wife who is a nurse by speaker phone during the visit and she is in agreement. If you want great healthcare, bring yourself and your loved ones here.
Good guy, very intelligent and knowledgeable. He was really detailed and has a great bedside manner. The front desk staff seemed a bit unorganized. As a doctor though totally worth your time. I feel like I've finally found a great primary care doctor.
Dr. Uleis is the best. He is attentive, organized and remembers what we discuss from prior visits. He takes time to listenand examine plus he knows what he is talking about. My condition was correctly diagnosed and since I have a serious condition(not just a sore throat.) this is important. I feel like I am in such professional Al and steady hands!
I was waiting to see the doctor for over an hour. I had to leave the room to ask a nurse when I would be seen. The doctor came in, barely introduced himself and got right to business. I explained my issue and he said I should get blood work. Once he came to see me, I was in an out within 15 minutes, but it was a really miserable wait. I felt a little uncomfortable. I had another person come do my blood work. He was unable to find a vein in my arm (this had not happened to me ever before) and he drew blood from my hand. Overall, I felt like I was shuffled around and not really taken care of here. I didn't realize this was a walk-in clinic, and maybe that is why the experience was not so good. I will likely go elsewhere next time.
To say that this doctor was horrible and mean was an understatement. Dr. Uleis was very mean, and very brash. I waited more than two hours to see him, and when I finally saw him, he said I needed three aprons to change into for my physical. He suggested that I had "lose the weight." He didn't even check my ears, eyes, nothing like that- only my blood pressure and pulse. His staff was very nice and helpful, but I would never recommend that anyone visit this doctor.
my appointment was at 10am. When I left, it was 11:30am. Horrible.
Dr. Unless is a great doctor that listens to you, gives an accurate diagnosis and puts you at ease. I've been seeing him for years and I highly recommend him.
Dr. Uleis is very knowledgeable and thorough and I have total confidence in him. He ALWAYS gives me the opportunity to ask questions during my visit and leaves his card with me should I have any questions thereafter. I highly recommend Dr. Uleis.
He seemed to be very busy that day. I felt that the actual time and level of concentration spent to my issues and concerns were not there. Seemed like I spent more time waiting for him than i actually spent detailing my issue and trying to find a resolution.
I waited about 45 minutes despite having a scheduled appointment and showing up early to fill out forms. I prefilled my forms ahead of time with ZocDoc but the office didn't have any record of it (which means they don't know how to use the system). The doctor was fine, but very quick - not much discussion. Gave me a prescription which cleared up the main problem but caused another. Got a bill in the mail a few weeks later for a large extra amount above what my insurance covered.
seems like they forgot about me and let people go ahead of me.
I've never had blood drawn so quick and painlessly.
I'm not sure he was really listening to me. He ended up giving me antibiotics and sent me on my way. Don't think I needed them. I prefer a more natural approach,
Keith is one of the best doctors I have even seen.
I really enjoyed Dr. Uleis! I was seemed in a timely manner and he was very responsive to all of my questions. He made me feel at ease and went through my physical promptly. I would highly recommend this doctor and I will be back!
My visit with Dr. Uleis was fine as usual! The wait time was a little longer than expected however I know he had to get all of my information from years prior so it wasn't too big of a deal. I come back every year for my physical.
Overall a good visit. This office takes both walk ins and patients by appointment, so the wait tends to be little bit longer. However, once I got in to see Dr. Uleis, it was great. He is friendly and makes you feel instantly comfortable- he addressed my medical needs in a very professional and timely manner. Dr. Uleis is welcoming and has a fun personality.
This guy is the best doctor I've ever had.
Super quick 1.5 minutes of my ill visit. Rush..rush..rush.
Very bad experience. All I needed was a flu shot and a TB test, and everything that could go wrong did. The first time I went everything went smoothly, but when I went back, I had to wait an unreasonably long time for a flu shot. The doctor came and went a few times and asked the same questions. He must have been overwhelmed and kept forgetting why I was there. Very unsettling. Good thing I wasn't there for something serious! Then there was a mix-up with the insurance company (they were in network but provided the wrong address on the bill to the insurance) and despite numerous calls from me and the insurance company, they neglected to verify the address and sent me to collections.... Please avoid!
Good doctor and he new what he was doing
It was quick
he was great at explaining everything, and the nurses were very nice. he was a little rushed, but that's understandable.
horrible experience. took forever, and when i was finally seen it was as if i was at a fast food chain putting in an order. so quick, and impersonal. never going back here again.
Dr. Uleis really cares about you as a patient/ He takes his time and also takes time to explain treatment and medication. All of the doctors in this practice are nice. they have been my promary source of medical care for 8 years.
I saw Dr. Uleis on December 30 for my annual check-up. As always, he was calm, pleasant, well-informed, and patient with this patient. He spent probably 10 minutes going over each and every question I asked. He is an Olympic-class physician whom I am delighted to recommend without hesitation and with enthusiasm.
Dr. Uleis had an excellent intuition for treating my common symptoms, but I did not feel like Dr. Uleis gave me much attention as a human being.
Dr. Uleis is a very thorough and knowledgeable doctor. He maintains dialogue with me throughout my visit and explains everything that he is doing. And, at the end of EVERY visit, tells me his hours and encourages me to call with any questions that I might have. I would not trade Dr. Uleis for any other primary care physician. The only way that would happen is if he or I move out of state.
The doctor is very good and thorough. Although he seems a bit unorganzied and takes too long to see a patient. I was sceduled or a 8AM appitnment and didn tsee him until 835AM, and I was the first patient in there.!
I had a very comfortable visit. Dr. Uleis was friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to.
Always very thorough.
I made an appointment on his advice from last time so that i wouldn't have to wait, then I waited longer than usual when I just walk in. No big deal, just funny.
I had an appointment time of 2:15.....I would suggest to arrive 15-20 min earlier. The doctor called me in at 2:17
Very good. Hope he was thorough. Nice manner.
The usual good service.
I've come to Dr. Uleis many times and he's really gets down to what needs to be done.
He is very intelligent, but very passive in his approach to getting a patient in and out of the office. My appointment seemed to be very general and fairly routine, and it took me 3 hours before I could leave, with much run-around. I left my appointment room to go to the front desk 3 times to request an update, finally getting results after 1 hour. It truly is mind-blowing.
The Dr was fine enough, though a bit rude. I made an apt for a physical, which they confirmed. I got there, they told me "nope, you can't have a physical after 4, there are no nurses here." I still needed something else, so I waited. And waited. And kept waiting. No magazines in the waiting room, meanwhile, a staff member was blasting music behind the counter. After an hour and a half, I was shown to a room and a nurse (???) took my blood pressure and told me of course I could get a physical. The Dr came in and I started to tell him what I needed. "You need to make an apt for a physical." THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT I DID. In the middle of my sentence, he grabbed my forms and walked out. Finally, I got one shot and one vaccine and then had to leave. I understand that they were having a busy day and there was only one dr. However, they could have rescheduled my apt or let me know when I got there it might be a two hour wait.
He spent less than 30 seconds with me, and explained that I have blood vessels all over my body like I was 4 years old.
Dr. Uleis is a real good doctor. Very helpful and a good listener.
Waited more than 60 minutes to spend about 90 seconds with the doctor. He seemed nice but extremely overwhelmed and did not spend a second longer than it took to write me a prescription and send me on my way.
Thorough, competent, available, always answers questions and explain clearly so it is easy to understand medical terms and what it means.
I think Dr.Uleis one of the best Dr. I have experienced.
He was very informative and descriptive. I felt comfortable being open with him about my medical concerns. He listened patiently and gave great eye contact. I will be using him as my primary care physician.
I have no negative feedback for the doctors and/or professionals at this Beth Israel Center except for the LONG wait times. I came in at 8:08am for an 8am appointment, but wasn't seen until 8:35am. Then once showed to my exam room, I was told to remove the top-half of my attire, and the doctor would be right back. 15min later he came in. After the exam, I was told that blood and urine would be drawn, but no one came for an additional 10min. I then waved a lab tech over (who was working on something else) to take my urine, (but I really had to go). He then also took my blood as well. Suffice it to say I got to work at 10am after an 8am appointment. (But only 20 min of care was provided to me). I understand that other patients require care, but in Manhattan where many are trying to get in their physicals and check-ups during lunch, before/after work, you would think this would think the patients' time would be taken into consideration a bit more. Great group of professionals, but time management and coordination needs some adjustment.
He's straight to the point. Which is refreshing after a long wait.
Mr. Uleis is always professional and provides great feedback in regards to my medical care.
Not a good Doctor. Gives wrong prescription and when you need him to correct he makes you come in again for another copay. He did not do a real check up for the yearly exam.
He's very knowledgeable however he's very standoffish and cold.
The wait time was way too long!
Dr Keith Uleis is an excellent and attentive doctor. I highly recommend him. However, the waiting time to see him very long, sometimes unbearably long.
Professional. Explained medical treatment in plain language.
Dr. Uleis has terrific bedside manner and goes the extra mile to diagnose the patient with as much info and data as possible. He is very smart, knowledgeable and keeps abreast of the patient's history so thoroughly. Any question is answered in detail. He comforts, gives excellent advice and always gets the patient better. I see him and only him at this practice bc he makes it worth it. I feel better always with his input. Feeling sick is both psychological and physical and he does his darndest to ppease both physical and mental symptoms. He's terrific!
I had an appt and I waited 45 min to be seen. Why make an appt?
Was perfunctory. I didn't feel like he listened to me.
I felt very comfortable and felt like he definitely knew his stuff. I just went in for a physical but the staff and he were very easy to work with.
Excellent doctor, puts you at ease, listened and explained things clearly. Made me feel confident I was in good hands.
He is very knowledgeable, patient and thorough and I completely trust his medical expertise.
Very professional and to the point. It was a very pleasant experience.
I thought he was courteous and professional. I would definitely go back to this Doctor's office.
Very professional. Exactly what I want in a Doctor.
I thought he was a little awkward. He left me uneasy and when he came back to my room he stood outside the room to talk to me. Then he walked away. I was not sure if I had to do anything else. So i just walked out of the room confused. I also asked him if there was any test I should be taking at my age and he really did not say much.
Fast, Pleasant and Fun! Would ighly recommend.
Very satisfied, he is very professional.
Dr. Uleis was definitely about being as helpful as possible. He made it a point to ask multiple times if there was anything else I would like he to address and also told me he was always available should I have any questions. I highly recommend Dr. Uleis.
Excellent dr. Thorough and caring
Overall I was satisfied with the visit. Doctor provided reasonable explanation of his diagnosis.
I think Doctor Uleis is pretty good. He is very helpful with answering questions. Also has a good attitude as well. I would recommend him for sure.??
Finally, a Doctor who listens!!
The visit went very well. The purpose of the visit was accomplished and I was able to be at work on time.
Dr. Uleis is always professional and concerned about his patients.
Great ! Very friendly.
quick and easy visit! Much appreciated in a busy day.
Very quick diagnosis
Very professional, independent opinion, does not rely on the patient's guess, highly recommend.
Excellent Doctor, very thorough. He went over all my test results and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed. He even got my test results from the previous weeks so that I can have a more clear picture of my overall health. I feel like I asked a million more questions and he still took his time and answered them all. He is my primary care doctor and I have been going to this medical office for last 4 years and would highly recommend Dr Uleis.
I thought the visit was good, he's very nice.
Attentive, funny, and thorough.
Dr. Uleis always has a great positive vibe about him and seems like he enjoys his job. He is highly knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain these crazy medical terms. He is the best doctor I've seen in the past 5 years of living here.
Dr Uleis is a very professional doctor that care for his patients. He provides useful information and spends the necessary time with patients to ensure thorough and careful assitance.
I think Dr. Uleis was a little overwhelmed when I visited him but I did get the feeling, the last time I met with him, that he was getting rid of me. He also spoke to me very condescendingly, which was not appreciated. I was sick, not stupid.
I was not impressed by Dr. Uleis or the staff. I had an appointment at 11:45 and was not seen until 1pm. The staff was incredibly rude and the Dr. was very unapologetic. I had a simple ear infection and he made it seem like if I did not come in today, I would have been deaf and possibly died.
I liked him. Seems like a good guy.
In all of my 40 years of seeing PCPs and Endos for Type 1 Diabetes I have never been subjected to such unprofessional treatment by the doctor or his staff. I walked out of the appointmet because after waiting over one hour the doctor spent 5 minutes with me...a new patient. No medical history was taken, he did not even introduce himself and an apology for keeping me waiting was not forthcoming. I wear an insulin pump and continuous blood glucose sensor on my abdomen 24 hours a day in order to live...the doctor refused to palpitate my abdomen upon seeing the devices. I was then told someone whould be in to draw blood and do an EKG. I waited an additional 15 minutes and no one entered the exam room. I had had enough. When I advised the check-out desk that I refused to wait any longer and was leaving I was given a shrug of the shoulders. Horrific experience.
Great doctor! My experience was great beyond having to wait 30-60 minutes from my scheduled appointment time.
this doctor is nice but does he do the right thing so so some people may like him some people may feel that he is no good he is alright doctor
Nice guy, direct, seemed to know what he was talking about.
Wait time was much better than last time, mostly because I complained about the 3+ hour wait time i experienced two weeks ago... Keith was informative, kind and compassionate. While he is somewhat awkward socially, he makes up for it with his caring and his need to inform. He is the first doctor to explain why he was doing what he was doing. I will continue to use him in the future.
The doctor seems to be good, but a bit busy, therefore long waiting time. I do not care for the front staff or the other supporting staff that I see or hear: due to non-professional look & behavior. The office needs a face lift & sound proofing, no privacy. I'll not be going back!
Dr. Uleis was very informative about what he was doing!
Keith is good, very informative, however I have been in the office 3 hours, and I am still waiting for bloodworm and ekg. It's Noon, I haven't eaten and I only took a half day from work
Dr. Keith was thorough with his exam and explanation of what he was doing. He asked questions and gave good advice about my situation. He seems to be a good doctor. (A negative is the facility. The exam room need to be updated. The exam bed looked dirty & waiting room was old & drab. The front staff could be more pleasant & presentable. My nurse had on dirty sneakers). I’ll see the doctor again, but I’m somewhat skeptical about the facility.
He was very quick to diagnose my problem and get me on my way. They took me quickly also. Other doctors make you wait a month or more to make appointments. You can't anticipate when you'll be sick. You can book the appointment online, which is tremendous. I highly recommend Dr. Uleis.
Dr. Uleis is thorough, caring. He explained everything in laymen terms. He followed up personally with lab results later in the day after the appointment.
Very professional, very thorough physical exam and fast, but didn't feel rushed, which was great. Returning back to NYC and plan to make him my primary care physician
he is the best!!!
Dr. Uleis was very knowledgeable, pleasant and made me feel very comfortable.
VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND HONEST.
Very through and very helpful.
Doctor Uleis was very nice but way to quick for my first visit for a physical. staff was nice, but misplaced paperwork and forgot to draw a vial of blood so had to stick me again. Very unorganized. My total time there was 2 hour with a appt. I was not happy at all with their service, I am very upset actually.
Dr. Uleis really cares! He is very good.
Absolutely Horrible. Will never recommend this doctor or place to anyone!
Im not sure I'd blame the doctor. But every time I've had an appointment I've waited at least 2 hours to sort out what I've been there for. He may be a wonderful doctor but it's frankly too much of a pain to go through that experience, particularly if youre worried about test results
Thoughtful and considerate Dr.
In and out quick.
I thought it went smoothly. It was very non-invasive.
Dr was just ok but after a 2 hour wait with an appointment, I won't go back unless I'm desperate.
Dr. Uleis is a caring doctor, but the office accepts too many walk-ins and does not honor appointment times.
I only spoke with him for less than 10 minutes. But definitely do not go on a Friday.
I had a pleasant visit the front office staff is courteous and efficient. I would most definietly encourage friends and family members to see Dr.Uleis he was attentive, friendly and genuine.
The equivalent of going to this "Beth Israel" clinic would be like going to a McDonald's that had a Peter Luger Steakhouse sign on the front door. If you happen to have a heart attack right outside the door you might want to go inside...other than that, you're better off treating it yourself. They should fire every staff member I came in contact with and hire people without crippling social deficits. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I expect my medical staff to be professionals.
He is very professional, explains causes and symptoms to patients In a simple way to understand.
His manner was so bizarre that it almost qualified as comedy were it not for the fact that he was playing my doctor in this particular scene. At one point I heard him in the hallway and simply presumed he was talking to a co-worker until he opened the door, came in and finished the question while looking at me. He wrote down my blood pressure on a paper towel and never put it on my form.
Very nice MD, the office however misplaced my file prior to the doctor seeing me for a follow-up appointment.
The receptionists were as rude as one can get. I arrived early for my appointment and then waited for 90 minutes before I was seen. Dr. Uleis was pleasant but I didn't think he had a very sensitive way of speaking, which is important in a general practitioner.
I woould Definitely recommend this Doctor.
friendly and helpful
Very kind, patient, seen quickly.
Seen quickly, very nice, great hours.
