“I had an excellent experience with the Union Square Eye Care. I arrived early to a clean and well run waiting area. The staff were friendly and patient.
My intake process was smooth and orderly. I was moved through initial intake, imaging, and seen by the physician promptly and without stress.
My issue required me to see another physician, which was quickly identified by Dr. Armstrong, and I was able have my treatment turned over to Dr. Wu; he also provided excellent care.
I believe that they were able to completely resolve the issue I was having, although I will be back for a follow-up soon to ensure.
All together, the process of scheduling was easy, I was seen on time, the staff was professional, and the facility had additional professionals who were best suited to resolving my issue.

About Dr. Kelly Armstrong
Dr. Kelly Armstrong is an empathetic and industrious optometrist who takes great pride in providing the best and most up to date care to her patients. She is originally from the Philadelphia area. She moved to New York City for her optometric education and clinical training. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry, graduating with honors and as a member of BSK, the International Optometric Honors Society.
Dr. Armstrong provides comprehensive eye exams for children and adults, seeing all aspects of primary care. Her areas of special interest include specialty fit contact lenses (rigid gas permeable and scleral lenses), pediatrics including myopia control, extensive dry eye examinations and treatment, as well as management of several ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataract co-management and more.
Dr. Armstrong currently resides in Manhattan. She loves exploring new restaurants in the city, spending time with friends and family, enjoying time outdoors and traveling.

I went in for a routine eye exam, and after seeing Dr. Kelly Armstrong, I was very happy to have chosen her. She extended me a genuinely warm welcome and my first impressions were that she was very comfortable and confident in her role. In our discussions, while explaining details with technical expertise, she also communicated in a straightforward way that left me with no confusion or questions to be asked. She listened to the input I shared in an agreeable way and left me feeling that what I had to say was fully considered and incorporated into her care plan for me. On top of covering all the standard annual eye exam touch points, she seemed to go over and above what was required. And since it was my first time in her office, that left me feeling exceptionally looked after and like she had a genuine interest in ensuring my eye health will be great now and into the future. Without any hesitation, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kelly Armstrong to anyone looking for an optometrist.

Waiting time was very long, desk staff was unhelpful. Office seemed unorganized, made me wait multiple times and seemed overwhelmed when 'busy', although patient flow was slow. Was stuck in office for 3+ hours midweek.

Dr. Armstrong was warm and friendly which was so helpful in making my daughter feel comfortable at her very first eye exam. She was patient in working with a wiggly preschooler and while efficient, did not feel like she was rushing us. She made time for questions and also helped fill out a form we needed.
