About Dr. Kelly German

Kelly German, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2016 and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa. She began her professional career in 2016 at a clinic in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Kelly completed her optometry training in various specialties, including ocular disease and surgical management at Wolfe Clinic in West Des Moines and pediatrics at the St. Louis University pediatric ophthalmology clinic. She also received an award from Allergan for her understanding and explanation of care and treatment of dry eye. Her special interest is in fitting challenging contact lenses and finding the perfect lens to fit each patient’s lifestyle. Dr. Kelly has always had an interest in working in the medical field. Her mother had benefitted significantly from a great optometrist who successfully fitted her with specialty contact lenses, and she wanted to experience that same type of gratification. Dr. Kelly loves creating relationships with her patients and helping people who may have struggled to find a solution elsewhere. She now focuses on family practice optometry as she enjoys caring for entire families – from contact lenses to disease management and infant eye exams – in a relaxed and informative environment. She is also a proponent of humanitarian work both nationally and locally. She previously participated in mission trips to Peru and aided in a free clinic each month in St. Louis as a student. Dr. Kelly’s passion for wellness flows over into her hobbies, which include spending time outdoors with her husband, Dustin, her rescue dog, Kuper, and her cat, Von. She also loves spending time with family and attending Colorado State University and Denver Broncos games.

Dr. Kelly was fantastic. She was all I had hoped for since I had read her bio information. I knew she would be able to help me see better. She took her time and made sure I understood everything she was explaining. I definitely can see 100% better. I am so grateful she is working at Mountain View.
