Dr. Kenneth Cole, PsyD

Psychologist
OH
I consider myself fortunate to have practiced as a psychologist for more than 20 years, and I’m humbled by the number of individuals who have trusted me during challenging times. My work has been shaped by training and lessons learned across a wide range of healthcare settings — from outpatient clinics to large hospital systems — both as a provider and a leader. Even with that breadth of experience, it’s the direct clinical work that continues to ground me. Supporting people as they navigate difficult moments, reflect on their lives, and move toward steadier footing is deeply meaningful. Each time someone chooses to work with me, I’m reminded of the responsibility and privilege of being part of their journey forward.

Getting to know Dr. Kenneth Cole

What should a new client know about working with you?

When I work with those seeking support, I strive for a steady, strengths-based approach that helps you feel heard, supported, and grounded. My work centers on authentic connection, collaboration, and helping you rediscover resilience, purpose, and healthier ways of coping. With two decades of experience across a range of healthcare settings, I offer a calm, thoughtful presence, integrate practical, evidence-based techniques, and create space where you can talk, reflect, and move toward the solutions that matter most. I also believe in honoring each person’s journey — the experiences that shape who they are and the emotional, cultural, and personal strengths that can help chart a constructive path forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, you’ll find my style to be accepting, patient, and focused on supporting you as you share what brings you in. The conversation unfolds at a gradual pace, giving you time to settle in, get a sense of who I am and how I work, and review your rights and what therapy entails. We’ll set aside time to answer any questions you have, and then begin exploring your goals, concerns, and any preferences for how we work together. As the process continues, we’ll check in on how you’re feeling and talk through anything that may have come up between sessions. At the end of the day, the aim is for therapy to be a place where you can sit down, exhale, and explore the concerns that prompted you to reach out—while keeping a clear eye on what you want to achieve. Feeling comfortable, even while discussing difficult parts of your life or current circumstances, is essential, and I’ll do my part to help make that beginning feel steady and supportive.
