About Dr. Kent Studer

Kent E. Studer, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 1994 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Missouri. He has a special interest in educating his patients about eye health. Optometry was a second career path for Dr. Studer. It allowed him to work with people to produce immediate positive outcomes, such as feeling and seeing better. In the financial world, outcomes may not always be positive and may take 20 to 30 years to realize. The optometry profession has allowed Dr. Studer to better care for his family and work on his terms. It has also given him the opportunity to develop long-term friendships with many, many people. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Studer loves having family time and being untied from a schedule. He also finds time for flyfishing, prairie restoration projects, and helping to educate youth to understand finances.
