About Dr. Kim Chau
Dr. Kim Chau received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. Her clinical externships include the VA Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and Gainesville, Florida, where she received specialized training in ocular disease management, eye emergencies, and managing low vision patients.
Dr. Chau is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certified by the Texas Optometry Board in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She practices full scope optometry which includes diagnosing and managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and corneal diseases. She also co-manages procedures such as LASIK and cataract surgery.
Dr. Chau enjoys participating in mission trips as her way to give back to the community. In her time away from the office, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

I am a new patient. Dr. Kim Chau provided excellent service and bedside manner. Her staff was knowledgeable and patient. I booked two appointments, one for my mom and one for myself. Both appointments were a positive experience. The staff spoke Spanish so my mom felt comfortable answering their questions. Dr. Kim Chau also spoke a little bit of Spanish and was able to guide my mom through her glasses vision exam. Overall, great experience. I will be back.

I made my appt. Online. I have been going to this office for glaucoma and cataracts. This visit I was seen for eyeware but not my cataracts. But I did get checked for glaucom after i asked for the test. So confusing and was not pleased with this appt. Clear communication would be a plus.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kim Chau. She was professional and had great bedside manner. She explained everything clearly and went over my retinal photos with me in the room. I chose to do the opto map photos instead of dilation to check my ocular health and keep photo records. The office staff and techs were friendly and efficient in taking me back. I would come back and see Dr. Chau next year for my annual eye exam.
