About Dr. Kimberly Murray

Dr. Kimberly Murray is an optometrist who believes that patient care is a doctor’s first priority. She attended Pace University in NYC, New York where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After volunteering at Lighthouse Guild International and working at various private practices as an optometric technician, she developed her passion for Optometry. Dr. Murray then went on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2020.
During her time in optometry school, Dr. Murray was heavily involved in advocacy, volunteer work and leadership. She served as the President of the National Optometric Student Association (NOSA), Treasurer of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society and Mission Trip Coordinator of the National Optometric Student Association.
Dr. Murray believes in quality care for every patient and emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community. She was honored to volunteer her time by giving back to underserved populations across the globe. Dr. Murray volunteered with Luxottica OneSight to Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico in 2019, Eye Health Institute to Jamaica, WI in 2018 and Nova Southeastern University HPD interdisciplinary mission trip to Jamaica, WI from 2017-2019.
Dr. Murray went on to complete her extensive clinical rotations in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is also certified in prescribing Oral Therapeutic Pharmaceutical agents in NYS.
Dr. Murray is an active member of the American Optometric Association, National Optometric Association and New York State Optometric Association and is currently licensed in New York and Florida.

Office says they accept united health care but they don’t accept United Health Care’s vision plan. I was sent a huge bill.
When i originally went, Office staff had told me that they accepted my insurance and that i was good. When i talked to staff they were indifferent and not willing to help. I couldn’t be the first person this has happened to. Overall seems like staff does not care.
Overall a bad experience and will not be coming back.
Eye care was ok nothing special.

I LOVE this place! Everyone is so welcoming and informative. Dr. Murray broke down my condition in a way I can understand and even though I require an additional referral for a specialist, she laid out ALL my options and what it would look like moving forward. She’s a great listener and personable. This was my first visit and I already recommended my brother to her!
