About Dr. Kristen Walton

Dr. Walton is an optometrist who serves a variety of patients. Her humble manner and desire to help others shines through her work and quickly puts everyone she meets at ease. Dr. Walton manages pre- and post-operative care for patients with ocular disease and who have had refractive surgery. Serving others is a big part of Dr. Walton’s life. Her desire to help others has led her to perform comprehensive eye exams for children in Jamaica as a member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). She also volunteered regularly with the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Event during school. Dr. Walton gained valuable clinical experience at four different sites throughout the United States that exposed her to a wide range of patient care models and has given her the ability to meet the needs of a variety of patient populations. Dr. Walton earned many honors during optometry school and is a current member of several optometry organizations. Kristen enjoys camping, kayaking, water skiing, cross-country skiing, cooking, and reading. Dr. Walton upholds the importance of research at Vance Thompson Vision by participating in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Walton is a member of Dr. Baartman’s team.
