About Dr. Kristin Pierce

Originally from Hoisington, Kansas, Dr. Pierce graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, TN. While at SCO, Dr. Pierce completed various externships, gaining valuable clinical experience in primary care optometry, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease. Dr. Pierce graduated from SCO in 2008 with the highest honors and was valedictorian of her class. Dr. Pierce is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the SCO Outstanding Clinician Award and the VSP Award of Excellence. She is currently licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. Dr. Pierce has been an optometrist with Overland Park Eye Center since 2008. She strives to provide thorough, comprehensive eye care in a family-friendly setting. She values a strong doctor-patient relationship and places emphasis on the importance of patient education. In her free time, Dr. Pierce enjoys spending time with her husband, Dustin, and their two children, Dylan and Landon. She can often be found volunteering at her son’s school or cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

My daughter’s insurance changed and Overland Park Eye Center took it. We made an appointment with Dr. Pierce and were seen within a week. She was fabulous and so was the staff! Hardly any wait and the paperwork didn’t take long to complete. Convenient location and nice office too.

I thought the entire team involved with my visit was welcoming and knowledgeable. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only reason I downgraded question #2 a bit was because it took a little longer than I expected to receive my glasses back. I know there was a holiday in the midst, but I came in on a Monday and did not get a call that my glasses were ready for me to pick up for a total of 16 calendar days. I certainly don't believe that ordering prescription glasses should be drive-thru restaurant quick, but 16 days seems a bit long. This was my first-time doing business with CustomEyes. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to send those I know to the clinic in Lenexa. Thank you!
