About Dr. Kristine-Hue Van

Dr. Kristine-Hue Van was born in Kansas and raised in Lousiana, Hawaii and Virginia. After graduating from Meadowbrook High School in 2001 she went to Virginia Commonwealth University to fulfill her prerequisites for entrance into Optometry school. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008 from Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. Following graduation, she joined Dr. David Spruill & Associates and after 2 years, she acquired the Willow Lawn office in 2010. Dr. Van strives to provide the highest level of eye care in a warm and friendly environment to all new and existing patients using state of the art technology and latest techniques. She has spent her time volunteering for OneSight, Lions Club and VOSH in the Dominica Republic and Puerto Rico. She is fluent in Vietnamese and can also complete an eye examination in Spanish. Dr. Van’s areas of focus include dry eye therapy, specialty contact lenses and ocular diseases. When she is not seeing patients you will find her enjoying the outdoors and traveling. She also enjoys cooking and experimenting in the culinary arts. Dr. Van and Dr. Galban welcomed their first daughter Chloe Jane together in Sept 2020 and Jasmine Claire in July 2022. Dr. Van is enjoying all the aspects of being a mother. Dr. Van is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, Richmond Optometric Society and All Docs.
