“The doctor was very thorough examining my eye. He also really took time to educate me about the condition and the physiologically of the eye. I left thinking he was a really good doctor. That opinion was then validated by the specific timeline he gave me about the healing process. Up until the appointment my eye was worse each day. But he said it could get better by today, but almost definitely within the next 4 days. I woke up less than 24 hours later and the condition significantly improved. My eye is so much better. I really appreciate the time he took to explain everything to me, including specifically what to do if it didn’t get better. He couldn’t have been more helpful and informative.”

About Dr. Lance Mcnaughton

Dr. Lance McNaughton graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 2000 with a PhD in pharmacology. He then went on to receive his doctorate of optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in 2003. Following a year of practicing eye care and teaching pharmacology in Madrid, Spain, Dr. McNaughton moved to the US where he soon took on the role of inaugural assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. After 10 years of teaching at Western University, he moved to the East Coast to take on a full-time faculty role at his alma mater in Boston, the New England College of Optometry. After several years in Boston, Dr. McNaughton transitioned into a part-time adjunct faculty role to serve as instructor of record in pharmacology. Throughout his tenure in academia, Dr. McNaughton developed a broad range of experience in specialty contact lens fitting. Moreover, his fluency in Spanish has proven to be a great asset in the clinic. Owing to his long standing role as an educator, Dr. McNaughton enjoys offering an educational perspective to many complex aspects of ocular disease and therapy.
