About Dr. Larae Zimprich

Dr. Zimprich is an optometrist whose strong work ethic, dedication to teamwork, and desire to achieve her goals benefits Vance Thompson Vision’s optometry team and her patients each day. Dr. Larae Zimprich manages ocular disease, refractive, and pre- and post-operative ocular surgery care. She credits growing up on her family’s farm in rural South Dakota with many of her best traits, namely the strong work ethic she’s well known for. Before starting optometry school, Dr. Zimprich worked as a technician in a local optometry practice, an experience that has given her a better knowledge of and appreciation for all aspects of eye care. Dr. Zimprich is a former member of several of her optometry school’s honor societies and is now an active member of the South Dakota Optometric Society. She values community service and it has led her to perform numerous free eye exams across the United States and in Nicaragua and Guatemala. Larae stays active through a variety of sports activities, particularly competing in half marathons. She also spends time reading, boating, and traveling on mission trips.
