About Dr. Larah Alami
Dr. Alami received her OD degree from The State University of New York College of Optometry in 2005 and completed her residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at TLC Eye Care & Laser Center in 2006. She was awarded the Billie M. Lyons Memorial Award for distinguished service to the college community. Dr. Alami has traveled to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru, India, Lebanon and Virginia to provide eye care service for underprivileged populations. She has been in practice for almost 20 years and specializes in ocular disease and laser surgery co-management.

Dr. Alami was great, really professional and took the time to explain things. I was in a position where I could have gone either way with getting glasses or waiting and she took the time to explain the options and any pros and cons. Just a really great experience and they have a really nice personal touch. Even sent a hand written thank you afterwards. Great experience, highly recommend!

Dr. Alami is so great. I have astigmatism that I was always told that wasn’t worth correcting. She felt that wasn’t good enough and gave me a lengthy trial run with toric lenses to see if I would like them. I am forever grateful. Here’s to seeing the texture on leaves in the breeze and being able to drive at night with halos around lights.

She was unprofessional and seemed to brush off many of the concerns I had regarding my eyes. She gave me little attention during or after the exam, despite spending 15 additional minutes (cutting into my scheduled appointment) picking out the latest "Gucci" and name brand frames for the previous client. Guess my sweatpants disqualified me for the 5 star experience. The receptionist and other staff were very nice but the this doctor I would not recommend.
