About Dr. Laura Ha
EyeCon Optometry is truly a dream come true, giving me the opportunity to provide vision health care for my community and hometown of the San Fernando Valley. My passion for Optometry blossomed while volunteering for the Mobile Eye Clinic at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute during my undergraduate years at UCLA. While attending the Southern California College of Optometry, I completed my clinical internship at the Southwestern EyeCare Center, focusing on ocular disease management. I also completed additional clinical rotations at the VA West Los Angeles, and at the Optometric Center of Los Angeles in downtown Los Angeles. Further, I am TLG certified, which means that I am certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat eye infections, eye allergies, perform lacrimal irrigation and dilation procedures, and also to diagnose and treat primary open angle glaucoma. My optometry focus is vision therapy, including the diagnoses and treatment of ocular conditions such as strabismus (eye turn) and amblyopia (lazy eye). If these conditions go untreated it can have a detrimental effect on children’s development.
The pleasure of meeting and getting to know wonderful people in my community and helping them enjoy clear healthy vision is what motivates me every day. The San Fernando Valley is the place where I grew up, starting from elementary school, so this is the community that I truly care about. As such, our practice is about building caring and responsible relationships between our professional staff and the individual patient with their unique needs. In my free time, I enjoy art, baking and painting. My husband and I are active travelers and we love hiking, running, and enjoying the bountiful beauty of Southern California.

They are very nice but in the end are more occupied with selling you on insanely expensive products than actually helping you. I was sent home with documents that were all about buying more from them, zero that actually included my prescription. I also was "accidentally" overcharged and when I called back, no one picked up.

Nice office and staff. I didn’t get seen at my appt time. It took over 30 minutes past my appt time before I was taken back and then an hour total before I was seen by the doctor. They did apologize, but it was frustrating because the office didn’t seem to be busy so it didn’t make sense why it took an hour past my appt time to see me especially since it was early in the day. I ended up not doing the full appt because I needed to get to work. Realistically, I’d probably go to another office closer to me next time. But aside from the delay everyone was nice and helpful and the office was nice and clean.

This office is well-organized and every member of the staff is very friendly. They knew what was going on and helped me to get exactly what I needed. Predictably, they charge significantly more for glasses than anywhere else, but that is standard for an optometrist and they were happy to allow me to shop around. I love this place and will absolutely make them my go-to optometrist!
