About Dr. Laurie Collett
Dr. Laurie Collett practiced Optometry at Metropolitan Eyecare for nearly 20 years. She graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1995, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree. While at ICO, she was awarded the prestigious Award of Distinction for Meritorious Clinical Performance. Dr Collett also did an externship at the Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital, where she did rotations in primary care ophthalmology, glaucoma, retina, and cornea clinics. Her undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Collett practices primary care optometry and also performs co-management of both cataract and refractive surgeries, offering post-operative care.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Illinois Optometric Association.
