About Dr. Lawrence Clewner
New patients requesting contact lens consultations must first be examined by the Doctor. The contact lens optician is only available in conjunction with Dr. Clewner on Tuesday afternoon.
Lawrence Clewner, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with subspecialty fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery. Dr. Clewner received his medical degree at N.Y.U. and ophthalmology training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan. While in corneal practice for four years, Dr. Clewner acted as head corneal consultant to the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey and chaired their corneal disease elective.
As the assistant medical director of the Refractive Surgery Center of Saint Barnabas Hospital, Dr. Clewner has been instrumental in the training of local ophthamologists in refractive and therapeutic laser surgery, and has preceptored the only corneal and refractive surgery fellowship accredited by the Academy of Ophthalmology in New Jersey. Dr. Clewner has lectured extensively on ophthalmic surgery locally and nationally, and has authored several scientific publications in his field.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Dr Clewner was kind and professional. After staff performed certain eye tests , he did a thorough exam of my eyes. The office is very well run. I would definitely recommend it.

Dr. Clewner was very helpful explaining my eye problems. He very gently removed the concretions from my eyelids and did not rush my appointment as if he had another patient waiting. I look forward to having Dr. Clewner as my ophthalmologist.

The wait to see the doctor was very long after my eye was dialed. I was there for 2 hours; for some reason they thought I was a new patient. Maybe because I booked the appointment via your site?
They started a new record for me, I realized that on my way out…
I was diagnosed with 3 things, details given about the condition was not very clear to me.
I went on line as I got home to do a little research about the diagnostic.
