Getting to know Dr. Lawrence Marcucci

Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do, or think the way that you think? Or have you been feeling stuck in a feeling and want to make a change? I do my very best to create a safe space for my patients and make authentic observations about lifestyle, thinking patterns, relationship/attachment styles, and clinical symptoms so that you can understand yourself better. Sometimes starting therapy with a new clinician can be a challenging and/or intimidating process, and I try to be as realistic as possible. I also understand that no one is perfect, and I come from a person-centered, non-judgmental approach to therapy. Professionally speaking, I operate from a Cognitive-Behavioral standpoint but also incorporate Existential Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Humanistic Psychology. I tend to integrate a number of evidence-based therapeutic models based on the patient's needs, and I do my very best to meet patients where they are at. Despite having a heavy clinical background, I also make a strong effort to be transparent with interventions and provide psychoeducation when it applies to the situation. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. I have significant clinical experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, incarcerated populations, ADHD, as an ally for LGBTQ+ populations, inpatient facilities addressing self-harm and suicidal behaviors, drug and alcohol abuse, psychosis, OCD, and personality disorders.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Lawrence is the only therapist I ever been to that has actually helped me understand myself, my partner and the issues I face in a way that helps me make meaningful changes.
Lawrence is great at what he does. He is able to read your emotions at a deep level and present it to you in a way that clicks. He is very methodical and scientific about his approach, but still has a genuine and sensitive touch to his conversation. He is not afraid to be straight with you and challenges you. I have seen an improvement in my mindfulness and perspective, and he helps nurture that.
Dr. Lawrence is always informative ,honest, respectful and helpful. I was hoping to find a therapist that I could trust the first time and Dr. Lawrence is the therapist for me. I am very happy so far and I don't anticipate any problems with him ever.
Working with Dr. Lawrence has helped me to learn how to overcome some of my past, showing me that I am capable of growth and self-improvement despite my past. You can feel the care, understanding, and compassion from Dr. Lawrence—honestly, a great professional.

I like that i always feel he is honest.
He was an amazing listener! Extremely nice and answered any questions I had. Amazing bedside manner. Didn’t push anything on me at all. All around perfect. I was afraid of trying therapy because I had bad experiences in the past but he had totally changed my mind and I look forward to my treatment.

I have no problem being open and honest with him. That has been something that has been hard for me to do Is to trust someone with what i'm going through.
I really love Dr Marcucci's style of therapy. They only let me pick two good things to say for the "stand outs". But there is much more. He is very kind, encouraging, empathetic, yet challenging in a good way to really support your growth when trying to deal with extremely challenging situations and move past them. He is also extremely knowledgeable about his field, and passionate about psychology, and cares about his patience. Comes with a huge wealth of experience in various envivoronments and is non-judgemental. I highly recommend Dr Marcucci.

I feel as though I have grown with Dr. Marcucci and that he has made it where I am learning how to be my authentic self. I feel like every session is a growing experience and that I have started to learn how to live with my mental health. Dr Marcucci takes the time to get to know me and to listen. He never tells me that what I feel is wrong or bad. He helps me understand why I feel this way and how to change this way of feeling instead of making me feel bad. I am beyond greatful for the care, and time Dr Marcucci has dedicated to my healing.
